Unfiltered. Very dark. Nice tan dense foamy head. Not a lot of aroma. Tastes line a refined guinness. Very creamy.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark black pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of big cocoa, roast, slight earth, into a bit of coffee, slight caramel, and toffee as well. Taste is a mix of watery earth, caramel, roast, some slight yeast into a bit of bread, toast, some cocoa, finishing roasted.

On tap at the Grizzly Peak Brew Pub. Poured a black color with brown edges and a tan head. Lacing left on the glass. Thinner and somewhat water. Earth, roast, with some lighter chocolate.

nitro tap at the brewpub - Pours black with a tan head and heavy lacing. It smells of roast malt and coffee. The flavor is of dry roast malt with some hops bitterness and a slight hint of chocolate and coffee. It’s medium bodied at most, kind of light, and overall pretty good.

Take the porter, dry it out a touch, add a bit of anise and up the hops. Good beer, but not quite as good as the porter.

tap at grizzly peak...typical pub style nitro stout..nothing stands out too much...basic roasted malt and chocolate, with hints of coffee and nuts...

chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 28, 2011
Drank at the brew pub as a part of the sampler...This was the highlight of the sampler...Pours a light black with a really good creamy and think light tan head, superb lacing...The aroma and taste both have some nice malts, chocolate, a little coffee, a nice dry finish. Super fun and easy to drink
