30cl. Bottle. Pours clear yellow with white head. Aroma little citrus, lots of malts. Taste sweet. Mouthfeel thin. It’s disappointing, grolsch came with a new lentebock last year and instead of making it better it’s still not that good. :(

30cl bottle. A clear golden beer with a huge most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of soft grainy malt, pale malt, pale fruits, straw. Taste of dry grainy malt, mild sweet pale malt, straw, medium bitterness, meh...

Smaakt bijna niet anders dan gewone Grolsch pils, best bitter. Ik had de 2017 versie.

Piepenhenrich (1246) - Steinbach, GERMANY - SEP 1, 2017
Delivers flavors that I would otherwise expect from a regular, tasty beer. So this Bock is, given its ABV, comparably weak in taste, plus its alcoholic aftertaste make this a mediocre Bock at max.

BeerViking (5074) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 26, 2017
Pours amber-gold with a fast-settling head and a corny caramel nose with dry grassy notes. Dusty dryness over a sweet backbone, texture is slightly cloying thickness over thin body. Not great, but not actively unpleasant, and fairly typical for a macro Maibock.

10/VII/17 - 33cl bottle from a Dutch supermarket, shared @ my mother in law’s place - BB: 2/III/18 (2017-988)

Clear blond beer, big irregular solid creamy yellowish head, little stable, falls down quickly, little adhesive. Aroma: malty, grains, little fruity, sourish impression, apple juice. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very malty, grains, bit sweet, soft bitterness, bit sugary. Aftertaste: pretty hoppy, bit metallic, very malty, caramel, rather sweet.

Heller, mild süß-malziger Antrunk. Trocken malzig, Noten von Alkohol, etwas brotig. Dann bitterer, alkoholisch bleibend. Muss nicht. 9/8/7/7/9/7

0.3 l bottle from ’AH’ (Groesbeek), best before November 2017. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Very faint, sweetish-malty and a bit floral aroma of honey, straw and some caramel. Moderately sweet, malty and slightly floral taste of honey, grains, some caramel and a touch of straw, followed by a short, medium bitter, slightly grassy and a little spicy finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not bad, actually more Bock-like than the other Dutch Lenteboks I’ve had so far. Overall not very impressive, but given my low expectations quite enjoyable.

(bottle) clear deep golden colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of caramelized grain and canned peaches, with some notes of cardboard, sticky rice and amchur. flavour is mostly oxidized beef and earth, heavily metallic and skunky, with lots more canned peaches and a slightly tart finish. medium- to heavy-bodied with average carbonation. awful stuff.
