An amber beer with a small white disappearing head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, honey, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and honey - a lovely flavor. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - AUG 10, 2006
Bottle at home. Very sweet initial taste and strong. Was very good with a citrus-flavor. A smooth finish and a hint of caramel. Really enjoyed it but may have drank it too cold. ha1ag (959) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - MAR 31, 2007

was close to its useby date which may explain the initial sour maltiness. slightly citric bitterness at the finish rounded it off nicely. enjoyable BeerBiker (1414) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 5, 2007
[Bottle. Thanks to Els in Holland.] A lovely bock with cooperating notes such as a nice white head with bubbles. Aroflavor of caramel, straws, malty roastness, alcohol and metal. Nice to common dinner. JorisPPattyn (10112) - BELGIUM - AUG 8, 2004
Good, just yellow tinted head, slightly irregular; dark golden beer, some cold haze. Grassy and "fines herbes" spiced nose - just a bit roasted as well. Sharp initial roasted taste. Very malty beer. I would have expected more herbal, flowery and certainly more honeyish notes in the beer. But, as the label says, only "sugars" have been added. Medium bodied, slightly slick mouthfeel. I’m a bit disappointed by tthis. Grolsch can do much better - they’re one of the few larger breweries with some imagination left. It’s a sweet Helles Bock, nothing more. shrubber85 (11706) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - MAY 1, 2005
Bottle. Sweet flowery malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet malt flavor with slight tannic finish - improves the more you drink.
