Smells slightly skunky, and of some malt sweetness color is dull yellow, and very little head. I'm not a personal fan of lagers, and this isnt much of an exception. Finish is bitter, but not hoppy. FOllowed by a rather watered down taste.

It's just a little too bitter for me, so I don't understand why so many of my friends like it.

Tastes like Heiniken but also like Becks. More bitter than other common netherland lagers.

Predominantly bought for any larger drinking freaks that might land at the pad, so that the bottle may be recovered for my own brews. Its a larger, indiscernible from the rest, say except for..well the bottle I guess!!!

madsberg (11612) - Sborg, DENMARK - APR 4, 2003
Bottled:Light yellow coloured. Not much of a head. Aroma is wery well hidden. Some faint notes of skunkyness is present. Flavour lives fully up to the aroma, which makes this beer consistent. Water and skunk is the dominant factor on the palate. This beer is a rather unpleasant acquaintance. Had 2 bottles, and the second was equally bad.

Small head diminishes to thin film fairly quickly. Fairly bitter aroma, typical of a mass produced lager. Fair amount of carbonation. Golden color. Sort of a watery bitterness.

A decent Dutch lager, better than Heineken but not as good as Carlsberg. Crisp flavor, better out of the flip cap bottle than the six pack. Doesn't have an amazing shelf life either so watch out.

Tasted on 2/27/03. Light, clear, bright straw color. One inch head quickly diminishes to a thin layer. I can smell the grain and hops with a slight citrus odor. The taste is clean and slightly metallic at first with a good hop flavor.

Tastes like Beck's with that clean, dry taste but not as skunky probably because its a lager and not a pilsner. Good beer to get drunk off of if ur willing to pay a little more as it's better than bud, heinekin(not sure how to spell it), and the like.
