Pours brilliant golden with a shortlived, rocky head and some lacing. Aroma is clean, straw, floral hops. Flavour is papery and body is thin. Slight bitterness in the finish. Thin body, and carbonic bite.

Im ersten Moment recht süß, samtig am Gaumen, dezenter Hopfen, wenig Malz, und dann lecker würzig. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Taze ve soğuk bir koku, az asitlik, az arpa ve aromatik bir tat. Köpüğü oldukça az

Aroma isn't anything to write home about, but is within the style. The appearance is spot on for a Pale Lager and the taste is better than most, as is the palate. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this beer. It's been years since I had Grolsch and am pleasantly surprised at how much I like it. Compared to others in the category, it definitely sits towards the top of the pile. I wouldn't normally pick a Pale Lager by choice, but this is quite drinkable and if I see it on tap might actually order it just to compare keg to bottle.

Drink this beer every time I travel east in the Netherlands. Difficult to find in Omaha. Better than the average macro lager. Crisp but has body. Lingering dryness accentuated by grassy, bitter hops.

This is by far one of the best lagers and readily available Dutch beers when you’re in Holland. This actually tastes like beer. Definitely get yourself a 450ml iconic bottle because this is very tasty and has a good bitterness to it.

500ml can from the shop, drunk at home. Pours clear with a fast-settling frothy white head, lacing and some bead. Dark straw - pale amber in colour. Aroma of fruit, resin, malt, yeast, bread. Creamy in the mouth with almost instant fruit flavours, medium carbonation, definite sweetness, complex but gentle bitterness, mouth-filling flavours. Overall, unpretentiously calling itself a pale lager, this is better than all but the best premium pilsener and can hold its own with many a craft ale.

From Jun 2007 Poured from 16oz swingtop bottle(best by 18 Oct 2007) a clear light gold with a good sized head of foam that stayed around longer than I expected and has good lacing. Taking a whiff or 2, it has the typical EuroLager smell to it...malt that is on the sweet side and some corn. Taking a few sips, it has a vegetal taste to it with the malt having a not so tasty malt flavour to it(not even a bit sweetish) and the hops imparts, what I think to be, a not so tasty hop flavour.(bitterness, yeah, but it's not citrusy or grassy or...it's pretty nasty) If I finish this bottle, I'll be surprised.

Can, 50cl. Golden colour with off-white head. Grainy and malty head. Light banana, yeast and hops. Taste is somewhat similar. Grainy malty sweet flavour. Not much bitterness nor anything else. Light body. Average carbonation. Well. Ordinary mass lager.

Tallboy can from a train station. I definitely can't call this bland, like a lot of pale lagers out there. It has a lot of flavor -- particularly a slightly sweet, bready maltiness and a moderate/firm bitterness at the end -- but they aren't the most pleasant flavors.

Bottle from rooftop bar Berlin. Maybe it's the weather and the nice bottle, but this was delightful for a mass produced lager. Very crisp and smooth and no bad sides.
