1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: APR 14, 2006 Bottle. Pours super pale and clear yellow with a 1” soapy white head. Not a whole lot in the way of bubbles here. Smells like... well, Heineken actually. Sweet corn, little apple. Malt, corn, nice round grainy flavor (the grain flavor is nice, not the rest of it). Finishes fairly clean, with a bit of corn and astringent tang. Body is just thicker than I expected, but in an oily way, not in a thick way. Eh. It’s better than Heineken, for what ever that’s worth.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2017 Perfect on draught in the Netherlands, and will go down far, far too easily. Back home, I’m not so fussed on the cans, but the bottles are usually pretty good fare when there’s nothing to drink on nights on and so forth. Beautiful lager. 450ml bottle. Pours clear golden, white fluffy head, doesn't stay long. Aroma is grainy, malty, lots of corn syrup. Taste is malty, herbal, sweet, some bitterness. Medium bodied, below average carbo. Weird to say, but there is too much taste for pale lager, needs some more wateriness. Tastes like 'pale lager concentrate'. Weird brew, but atleast different. wombat23 (1832) - Texas, USA - NOV 30, 2017
Bottle. Used to drink this stuff every now and then back in the day, but not so much anymore, unless I'm stuck on a cruise ship with no good options...Still, it's better than Miller Lite.

Famous lager for a decent price. A classic one. It reminds me of my beginnings - once upon a time I thought it was a very good beer. macca147 (594) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - NOV 25, 2017
On tap in Amsterdam. Pours a pale yellow gold with a white head. Thin citrus and grass notes. Funky aroma. Sweet malt, biscuity malt and mild citrus flavours. Not a strong flavoured lager. Thin bodied. Moderate to high carbonation. Easy to drink, and not as bad as a lot of other macro lagers, but it definitely is not a good beer. eastkenttom (154) - herne bay, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 25, 2017
Often think that this is the most grassy and acidic of the macro mainstream lagers you find in UK shops.
Still, at least it has a bit of character and it's extra crisp. Not bad. 6.5/10.
