Draught. High and lasting white creamy head. Clear amber body. Mild caramel honey aroma. Heavily carbonated caramel flavor with a nice hops bitterness. Long bitter aftertaste. Kristall-König (2820) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - SEP 1, 2014
Danke an WillemsUrenkel für diese Flasche. Riecht malzröstig, herb. Start süßlich, getreidig und malzig. Mitte aromatisch, malzig, karamellig. Abgang malzröstig, Karamell, herb. gut. Kita (2151) - Koper, SLOVENIA - NOV 24, 2014
On tap at Gröninger Braukeller, Hamburg. Cloudy amber color with small creamy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of malt, wort, honey and hay. Taste starts moderate sweet malty, follows rich herbal with light bitter finish. Medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Sweet and tasty brew... Cloudy, orangey-coloured, with a malt accent. I know they call it a pils, but my personal call would be Vienna. Especially from Hamburg, it just isn’t that hoppy to be a pils. Good fresh, character though. thedm (6184) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 11, 2004
The DM & Hotstuff’s European Honeymoon trip beer number 75. This draft brew from the brewpub in Hamburg Germany poured a small sized head of finely sized off-white colored bubbles that left behind a dark brown colored semi-transparent hazy uncarbonated body and a good lacing. The aroma was mildly malty and the mouth feel was very smooth and malty. The flavor contained notes of sweet malts toffee and mild caramel. This beer is the wrong color for the style of Pilsner and was down graded accordingly, but very good and extremely tasty.

Draught. Served very cold. The body is orange-copper with a small, short-lasting white head. The aroma has mostly pale grain malts, toast, and nutty caramel. Soft body - moderate carbonation and slightly abbrasive bitterness. Toasty flavours among some sweetish grain - actually pretty decent overall. Refreshing.
Tried this at the brewpub in Hamburg on May 24, 2006. DerWeg (1682) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 3, 2008
Bottle I think from friends in Zeitz. Rocky coarse head leaving large traces, some refined noble hopping and light sweet fruit on the nose and pleasing bitter finish.
Possibly a touch skunky or animal. Hint fruitiness in flavor. Enjoyed overall. Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 2, 2009

Clear amber with a big, staying, creamy, white head. Really lovely looks. Aroma is sweet an malty, some maize, soft caramel, light grassy and citrussy. Medium carbonation, light but okay dry mouthfeel. Flavour is relatively sweet, some sugary caramel notes, fairly malty, very little adjunct flavour. Quite solid grassy bitterness with just a faint bit of metal. Fresh.
light burnt malty aroma,red/brown, hazy, off white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, creamy, fizzy, very malty harmonic finish.
