Bottle, bought @ Bierspezi Hoheluft, Hamburg.Zita (6331) - Assentoft, DENMARK - APR 4, 2015
Clear amber with a big, staying, creamy, white head. Really lovely looks. Aroma is sweet an malty, some maize, soft caramel, light grassy and citrussy. Medium carbonation, light but okay dry mouthfeel. Flavour is relatively sweet, some sugary caramel notes, fairly malty, very little adjunct flavour. Quite solid grassy bitterness with just a faint bit of metal. Fresh.
light burnt malty aroma,red/brown, hazy, off white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, creamy, fizzy, very malty harmonic finish. Grumpelmies (431) - GERMANY - JUN 1, 2017
Bottle. Copper coloured with a nice white head. Aroma is mildly fruity-hoppy. Taste is caramell, nuts, malts, raisins and something I cant put my finger on, maybe chestnut? Pretty sweet and unusual for a Pils...Low bitterness in the aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel. Quite interesting but Im not totally convinced. biir (1684) - Berlin, - OCT 16, 2017
Tap at the brewpub - hazy copper color, white head. good lacing. bit hoppy, floral, good malty body, red malts, medium sweet, low carbonation. finishes medium dry. really good to drink, even though far closer to an amber lager than to a Pils as advertised. esox (1226) - Oulu, FINLAND - FEB 25, 2012
Draught @ Göninger Bräuhaus, Hamburg. Hazy orange colour, rich and creamy head. Grainy and bready malt aroma with grassy hops. More like a helles, it sweetish and more malt than hop-oriented. Slightly drier lopun and bitterish finish. Fresh and smooth body. OK.

Keg at the brew tap, Hamburg, 16/07/15.
Lightly hazed orange amber with a decent off white covering that retains well.
Nose is malt, bread, light caramel, fruit rinds.
Taste comprises caramel, fruit loaf, pastry, butterscotch, dried apricot.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Ok stuff, not sure why they call it a pils, a pretty malty - dark fruity #. joergen (29611) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 4, 2013
Draught at Gröninger Braukeller.
Hazy amber coloured with a medium sized off-white head.
Sweet and malty aroma of caramel, hay and bread.
Malty flavour of hay and caramel with notes of hops.
Hoppy finish. McWorta (1633) - LUXEMBOURG - JUN 30, 2013
Bit hazy dark orange/amber colour with a pillowy whitish head. Noses of straw, floral and hints of hops. Light lively on the palate with a medium body. Watery/slick texture building light bitter sweet notes. The finish is fast but lasts a little bit right at the back of your palate. Japalo (1887) - DENMARK - SEP 4, 2013
Bottle @ Renaissance hotel Hamburg. Dark golden clear. Small head. Horney some Spice. Malty aromas. Dry. A better than normal pils. bartlebier (4216) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - DEC 4, 2014
33cl bottle bb07/15, HH Bierland, one of few not heftily ransomed locals. Confidently copper, sweetish roast, honey and wort in the nose turn into a rich, roasty, nutty body of caramels, roasted nuts, marzipan, taking harsh unripe chestnut and helmgrass bitterness into unstable territory, lingering as if weirdly aromahopped. Overall rather unbalanced, but with character, like some of the best of life’s companions. What an accident of a pilsner, especially a Northern one, - yet what a singular Vienna! Nothing on the label warns that this is not an actual pils, hence hard to rate true to style. Caveat emptor/imbibor.
