COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Dark Ale is the third beer rounding out our current lineup. It uses a very dark, near espresso-like roast of our chestnuts. The extra dark chestnuts lend a roasty flavor and aroma with notes of chocolate and dark fruits. The hops take a supporting role in this beer allowing the roastiness to come forward in the palette.

DuffMan (10733) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 1, 2017
Bottle, shared with Parksy and others. Tawny medium brown hue, off white head that fades fairly quickly. Sweet nutty profile, with thin bready, papery malts underlying. As a gluten-free offering, this has its charms.

ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 8, 2016
Bottle. Pours a hazy nut brown body with a small off-white head. Nose is yellow pea mush, nuts, biscuits, grains and hints of dusty cardboard and cola nut. Taste is nuts, yellow peas, stale buttery notes, rubber hose, biscuits and hints of dusty cardboard, cocoa and sawdust. Oxidized, and weird. Just weird.

yngwie (17262) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 27, 2016
Bottle, 22oz, at Både&. It’s a reddish brown beer with a finger thick light beige head. The aroma is nutty and lightly woody, with some berry hints, roasted notes and some dusty, chocolate hints. It’s full bodied, nicely carbonated and rather dry. Roasted malts, some chocolate and caramel, hints of coffee and nuts, with a faint bready touch. Lasting finish. A bit low on the hops this one, but quite decent anyway. Some bean-like notes all the way, in a nice way. 160227
