COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first collaboration with a European brewery, we first brewed this beer in Bucharest as the first spiced beer ever brewed in Romania (we think). It went on to win awards at Bucharest’s first beer festival this September! A deep orange brew made with pumpkin and a plethora of autumnal spices: cinnamon, allspice, ginger, nutmeg, coriander and clove.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2017 Bottle in trade with ciocanelu, cheers Silviu! Pours dark amber with a lasting beige head leaving good lacing. Aroma of nutmeg, ginger, pumpkin and toffee. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, touch of sour. Toward medium body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation. Pretty decent brew.

Aroma has lots of spices like cinnamon and ginger. Taste of ginger, cinnamon, spicy, slightly sweet at first but gets more bitter and earthy towards the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it’s quite good, not too spicy for my taste.

0.33 bottle from the liquor store in Cluj. Hazy amber color with beige head. Nose hits you instantly with spicyness and sweetness(cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg). Taste is also sweet. Medium body, medium carbonation. Flavors mainly follow the nose, topped with a low bitterness to finish it off. Enjoyable, altough a bit too sweet.

33cl bottle at City Blues. Almost no head & a cloudy amber colour. No strong aroma, though this may be due to being fresh from a cold cabinet - this style of beer would benefit from being cool rather than chilled. Taste dominated by spice, mainly cinnamon but maybe some cloves. Rather thin with little persistence or aftertaste. Very upfront with little complexity but if served less cold, would make a good accompaniment to an autumn apple pie. A fair beer but needs more work to be a good to very good one.

Batch 2. Hazy amber color with beige head. Aroma has lots of spices like nutmeg and ginger. Taste is also really spicy, slightly sweet at first but gets more bitter and earthy towards the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it’s quite good but a bit too spicy for my taste.

UPDATED: SEP 24, 2016 Bottle at Street Food Festival, Iasi. Dark amber colour, very nice. No head, smells sweet, herbal, juicy grapes. Tastes sweet, clove. The clove is quite predominent. Low bitterness and carbonation. Earthy and quite flat. The alcohol is hidden. Good, but may be the least interesting beer from Ground Zero.

TAP at Bucharest Craft Beer Festival. Hazy dark amber brown. Sweet and spicy nose, ginger and a touch of cinnamon. Medium sweet taste, spicy but not over the top. Somewhat harsh bitter finish. Not bad for a ginger beer.
