Had a nice sweet roasted malt scent with an almost roasted sugar note. Taste was a nice roasted malt with a little spice backbone. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy medium amber with a rim head and streaks of lace. Taste is light caramel malt with a slight medicinal flavor midway through, finsihing with a dissolving hoppiness. There is a nice balance here, compromised somewhat by a thin watery texture. Overall, drinkable, not notable.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber red witha white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of bread and grain with a hint of earthy grassy hops. Flavor starts with bread and grains and has a bit of grassy hops in the finish.

Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Grumpy Troll in Mt. Horeb, WI. Appearance a cloudy red tinged gold with thin white rim. Aroma of spicy hops, caramel malt, but not too prevalent. Taste also seems subdued, more malty than hoppy, its OK. Thought it was supposed to be more of a red ale than an amber ale, still not very good.

Sampled @ GLBF 2011. Dark amber color with a light tan head. Nice combo of sweet caramel and light hops and again, really clean.
