Big, bold, and British! O.G. 1080, 100 IBUs, AbV 8.5%. She is amber/copper in color with a strong persistent head. An intense hop aroma is deliverd by copious amounts of English Styrian Gold and Kent Goldings hops. She is full bodied with a strong sweet malty toffee/caramel backbone that supports the 4.3 pounds of hops per barrel making her a very bitter, but delectible woman.

muzzlehatch (4942) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 11, 2016
Draught sample at the brewpub, July 26th. Medium oily-translucent amber, just a little head retention...sweet honey and more than a bit of alcohol in the nose, a bit of pine and rosemary/tarragon spiciness...body is mostly sweet, only lightly to moderately hoppy/bitter, thick and rather syrupy, with a finishing harshness that is both hoppy (good) and cardboard & burnt (not so hot). Meh, just passable really. I dont think I could have drunk a full glass of this.

On tap at the source - enjoying ck1s birthday. Pours a yellowish-orange with little head. Some lacing. Aroma has fruit and simple sugar and light citrus. Taste is fruity, citrus, some biscuity malts, some sugar. ck1 identifies the Golding Kent hops. Medium bodied with a bit of an alcohol presence. Finishes to the sweet side of bittersweet. Shrug? Old keg?? Hope to get back to retry. Having a taste of the ipa - it was better, so would hope the base would generally translate.

Shared bomber poured to snifters with a cloudy, orangey gold color, with a modest layer of off white head foam to a bubbly ring & film, and spotty lacing. The nose was a little dank & stinky, with a touch of sweetness, resin, and light citrus & spice. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation, the taste followed up with medium astringency & dryness to the hop bitterness, and some malt sweetness. Not really a bold alcohol presence, and although tasty, was altogether too mild & thin to be considered Imperial, imo.
