Not sure what the purpose of the name of this beer is but it is a standard APWA, not a witbier really. hopdog (13211) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 21, 2008
On tap at the Grumpy Troll Brew Pub. Poured a medium yellow color with a small sized head. Aromas of wheat with some spiciness. Tastes of fruitiness, bananas, citrus, and lighter spices. BVery (11458) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - SEP 5, 2011
Tap at the brewpub. Hazy light yellow pour. Orange and clove on the nose. Medium carbonated body. Good orange, wheat, and clove taste. CaptainCougar (7634) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - AUG 19, 2009
On tap at the brewpub 7/31/09: Pours a hazy pale golden with a thin, clingy-lacing white head. Big orange and lemon citrus nose with a hint of coriander and light sweetness. Starts fairly full with a tart citric bite and a touch of coriander and sweet pale malt finishing drier and sweet tart. A pretty good citrusy witbier. On tap at Grumpy Troll. Poured lightly-cloudy pale golden with not much head at all. The aroma picked up soft and dusty wheaty notes balanced with spicy orange peel and coriander.. there was some odd herbal stuff at the end. The flavor was quite sweet overall with odd wheaty malts at the core.. spicy, but tacky coriander and orange peel surrounded the tongue.. the spices hit rather suddenly and threw off the balance. Lighter-bodied and refreshing on the palate with too much spicage at times.

On tap at Grumpy Troll. Hazy, cloudy orange-yellow-tan. Thin white head. Mild toasty aroma. Very citrus forward, but still a quality Wit. Orange coriander all the way. Yeasty and smooth, a pretty decent representation of the style. Nice toasty golden malt balance, almost a touch oily and wheaty. Not perfect, but decent. JPDIPSO (6298) - Wauwatosa, USA - OCT 28, 2007
Straw color with an average white head. Aromas of orange blossoms with a light dry spice backdrop. Flavors seem a touch watery. Light wheat with some coriander and orange zest flavors. This would be a brew for a hot summer day. Skyview (6115) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - OCT 30, 2007
On draught at the brewpub in Mt Horeb, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear golden blonde brew with a fast dissolving white head that disipates clean with no head nor any white ring. Aroma of strong banana esters, multi-grain wheat, some yeast and a touch of coriander. Taste is medium bodied, semi-sweet, very light carbonation with flavors of malted wheat, yeast and more coriander. Finish is just as semi-sweet as the flavor, with aftertastes of banana esters, wheat and orange. esjaygee (3902) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 22, 2008
On tap at the Grumpy Troll brewpub. Unfiltered golden brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma of orange, yeast and mild corn. Smooth and creamy body of orange, lemon and yeast leads up to a dry finish. Solid witbier. shigadeyo (3819) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 11, 2009
11/16/2007: Norwegian Wit is another hazy, gold-colored offering from Grumpty Troll. It has the typical orange and corriander flavors and soft palate.
Sample (draught) at the Grumpy Troll Brewery, Restaurant and Pizzeria in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. Rating #11 for this beer.
