Draft at GT. Orange-brown, lacy off-white head. IPA, on the brown’dark side. Solid toffee and hop tones, Well done, sessionable, balanced. Not World Class but enjoyable. Narnad (1521) - Crystal Lake, Illinois, USA - JUN 21, 2011
Arrived a hazy, orange/light brown tinted coloring with a mild off-white head. Modest nose overall. Nice toasted grainy base, hops nose has a definite chinook presence coming through the best with an overall mild citrus, pine and earthy hopped nose. Flavor starts off with a mild orange citrus, mild pine and then moves into a huge earthy hoppiness with a mild amount of caramel malt coming through later. Body is perfect for holding the hoppiness and is well balanced with just a touch of dryness to finish. Overall a good brew with a very smooth hops presence. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - JUN 13, 2011
On tap at the brewpub, pours a hazy amber/copper with a thin head and spotty lacing in the glass, arom has a huge front of tropical fruit with a nice bitterness of hops as well, the flavor is full of tropical fruit with a finish or orange and more citrus, wow, great find at Grumpy Troll.
