Hazy brown-tan with a creamy off-white head. Bold and hoppy for a beer of such moderate ABV. Medium, almost full bodied. Toasty, chewy malt tones. Soapy, resinous hop character. Pretty nice, though I had higher expectations. Grapefruit. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 27, 2011
(Draught) cloudy yellow with fine white bubbles. Nose of orange, grapefruit, candied citrus. Taste is very bitter, mildly floral. Oily and watery at the same time. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - SEP 7, 2010
On tap at brewpub, pours a hazy yellow color with a thin white head, aroma is mixed with fruit and sweetness with hop notes, the taste is overall more fruit like than hops but is still very enjoyable. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 9, 2010
draft at the brewpub. pours a hazed yellow with white head. the aroma is bursting with citrus hop aromas and the flavor is no exception, lots of fresh crisp bitterness awesome and refreshing. this beer was listed at 3.5% and was the best beer I had on my New Glarus-Madison trip (this was better than moon man). It makes me wonder why few breweries make a very hoppy small beer. Grump troll nailed this. kseecs16 (1216) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - MAY 28, 2010
Draught at the pub. Pours a hazy deep golden with a thin foamy off-white head. Leaves a sheath of lacing down the glass. Sweet floral hops aroma with a slight rich spiciness (Simcoe). Hop forward with a nice bitterness and full flavored, especially in light of 3.5%.

Tap at Grumpy Troll. Aroma citrusy hops with some floral character. Flavor is bright citrusy hops with tons of grassy and floral notes. Finishes slightly sweet with a tiny hint of bitterness. Goes down easy/fast. Would try again. madvike (3260) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - APR 7, 2010
On cask @ The Grumpy Troll - Pours golden with a frothy white head. Smells of light, crisp citrus hops, light melon, and a bit of sweet, bready malt. Taste is nice, fresh hops--citrusy and fruity--with lemon and grapefruit rind and a light malt backbone. A bit watery and thin, and not loving the cask feel in the mouth, but overall real refreshing. Pours mostly clear, yellow-orange with a thin head that crawls up the sides of the glass and leaves lacing everywhere. Aroma is a big burst of citrus-orange and piney hops. Flavor is hoppy first and citrusy second. Floral, piney hops really take center stage, a little too dominant at first but a balance of fruity citrus and clean sweet malt comes on as it warms. Medium, almost sticky palate. A very nice, well-done APA that manages to be bold without being overbearing.
Pours a cloudy golden color with a thin whispy head. Hoppy aroma, hints of malt. Yum, citrus, piney hop flavor with hidden malt sweetness. Light bodied, dry hoppy finish. This is a nicely done ale! I am guessing amarillo hops, great hop flavor for a lighter ale. DietPepsican (1591) - @ $13.99, Iowa, USA - JAN 16, 2010
Hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fruity citrus hops, not much of a malt backdrop on this one. Flavor is similar, think alpha king hops with less bitterness and more fruit. Very light bodied which really let the hops shine through. 4%? Awesome! I had three.
