A great Fürth beer legend is brought back to life with Grüner, whose origins reach back to the year 1709. Our Grüner Vollbier hell is brewed wholly in the in the spirit of the good old days. It’s a part of real Fürth brewing tradition, which, luckily, you can enjoy again today.

MoritzF (10018) - Ottobrunn, - OCT 22, 2012
(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a dense medium-sized foamy white head. Mildly grainy pale malty aroma with a tinge of grassy hops. Slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a mild carbonation. Pale malty taste with shades of grassy and herbal hops; slightly sweet malty finish with a restrained level of hoppy bitterness. Drinkable but the usual profane Helles. 17.X.12

0,5 l Flasche. Sehr helles Bier, flacher, stabiler Schaum, akzeptable Gardine. Riecht malzig, leicht grasig, leicht muffig. Schmeckt malzig süß, kaum bitter, etwas stumpf im Abgang.

Marko (5857) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - SEP 7, 2017
Grünerla. Clear pale golden body, white head. Light, dry slightly sweetish aroma, some egg, bitterish herbal touches. Light and watery taste, bit eggy and dry, very very light bitterness, slightly soapy. Dry yet soft, slightly watery yet nice. Not a bad generic helles really.

Moravius (1371) - Berlin, GERMANY - AUG 20, 2017
Aus der Flasche im Marientorzwinger, Nürnberg. - Strohgelb, klar.

Bottle from Biershop Bayern. Yellow colour, white foam. Malty, yeasty, little bit citrus. Some cardboard notes, strange bitterness.

Bue à Weimar à la bouteille. Bière très légère. Pas trop d3 caractère. Mais facile à boire.

datrael (540) - Krakow, POLAND - MAY 11, 2017

500ml bottle from shop in Mitte, Berlin, Germany (€1.55 approx):
Basic stuff from the start here, this one was full of cheap adjuncts and basic malts alongside what was quite a skunky and one-dimensional taste. There wasn’t really much going for this one and I found it a struggle to get through the body so it’s probably one to avoid.

Bottle 25 cl. Comes as "Grünerla". Pours a pale, clear yellow with a small, white head. Sweet, malty nose - somewhat oxidized though. Medium body, rather sweet malt base, a light metallic touch. Hardly any bitterness at all. 060417

Salwal (486) - GERMANY - MAR 29, 2017
From the bottle poured into Lager Glass. Pours clear golden with thick white head. Nose, metallic, malty, Clean. Taste malty crisp, slightly sweetish. Grassy herbal middlepart only slightly bitter. Malty to the very end... Okay

Zlotta (3504) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - FEB 8, 2017
0.25 l bottle from local ’Trink & Spare’ as ’Grünerla’, best before April 2017. Clear, golden yellow with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy-spicy aroma of straw, some honey and a touch of citrus. Slightly sweetish, a bit grassy-spicy taste of straw, grains and slightest hints of citrus, followed by a short, medium bitter, moderately grassy-spicy and a bit dry finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay, might not be the freshest bottle though.
