Fonefan 110415. Red amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is coffee, hop, malt, hop, pine. Flavour is sweet, caramel, yeast, coffee, hop, malt, pine. Nice/OK beer. AaronTDubs (500) - - SEP 8, 2015
Beautiful copper color. Nice carbonation. An unintense coffee aroma. Nice balance of sweetness and bitterness. I expected more hops, but I enjoyed the restrained use of it. Clear coffee notes, a hint of some nice fruity esters. I tried it because I’d never heard of a coffee red ale. I was pleasantly surprised. Nice beer. Pours slightly hazy deep amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, coffee and orange. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long malty. coffee and caramel finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle. A clear, deep amber colored beer topped by a dense, light beige head leaving lacings. Lots of coffee on the nose, very smooth coffee, with some pine cones and tropical fruits. Lovely roasted maltyness and some dark chocolate in the far back. There’s a soft bitterness in the flavor, of the hoppy kind, with lots of delicious coffee and some roasted malts. Lasting finisih with lots of coffee and a lovely citrusy, piney touch. Sure a delicious one, blends the beer and coffee in a really wonderful way. 150807 SvanteL (651) - SWEDEN - JUL 28, 2015
On tap at Gladmat festival, Stavanger. Pours hazy amber. Aroma of cold coffee, dark bread. Some sweetness, well balanced. Too much coffee for me. Cunningham (8567) - Halden, NORWAY - JUN 14, 2015
Almost clear deep copper color with a fine off white head. Really rich and nice coffee aroma. Medium (+) body and a fine carbonation. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Strong coffee flavor without being over the top. Also toffee and mild fruity. Tasty nice ale.fonefan (52906) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUN 3, 2015
