Black with tan head and lot’s of lacing. Plenty of carbonation. Slightly sweet taste. AaronTDubs (500) - - JUL 19, 2016
Black color. Rich carbonation. Malty aromas of dark chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla. Oily body. Very sweet and malty. Usually, I’m not a big fan of woody beers, but the barrels helps keep this from being undrinkably sweet. Nice rich flavors of dark roast coffee, wood, chocolate, cinnamon, whisky. Has some harsh tones, but overall, quite good. One of the better wood aged porters I’ve had. ClubGonzo (5683) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 18, 2016
On tap @ Grunerløkka Brygghus, Oslo. Black body, medium creamy dense light beige head. Nose is caramel, licorice, leather, wood, dark sugars and hints of toffee and cream. Taste is burnt sugar, leather, licorice and hints of wood, chocolate, coffee and hints of cream and brown bread. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. A rather elegant creation from Grunerløkka; mellow whiskey tones blending seemlessly with the porter. More-ish.
