COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gruut brown beer has a deep brownish colour with a golden touch and develops a delicate and stable foam. The degustation is surprising but very pleasant. The beer has character and the presence of abundantly much taste.

Pours dark brown with a quickly fading head. Nose shows brown sugar, figs, plums, fruit cake and golden syrup. Nice! Somewhat similar flavours, but less complex. Quite sweet, big brown sugar and golden syrup notes along with a little fruit. Body feels watery. Too highly carbed too.

Bottle. I didnt expect that much from this.. Pours out a hazy brownish colour with a beautiful off white, two-finger of head on top. Aroma is fruity, spicy with touches of cinnamon and the gruut I guess. Not much of typical Belgian yeastiness, which is a good thing. Flavour is moderately sweet with loads of red fruits and spices. This is so much better than the Gruut Blonde. Little bit of alcohol detected in the far end of the flavours, but certainly not disturbing. Medium long, sweet finish. This is actually quite a good beer!
