Pours a very dark brown, not totally black, with a nice tan head. Aroma is mildly roasty. And flavor is mildly roasty. Shockingly little going on here. Sent a search party out for flavor and couldnít find hardly anything even after I boldly ignored the bottle instructions and allowed it to warm up - in a glass. At least nothing offensive here. Carbonation is actually sort of prickly and distracting, seemed sort of odd and out of place.

Poured with a black body and a quickly fading tan head. Aroma had a roasted malts and a slight peat presence in the back. Flavor was well balanced roasted malts were mild and the smoke we delicate. Although it was balanced it was rather light which was disappointing. Slightly over carbonated, not bad but not good either.

Bottle; poured a dark brown, essentially black, color with a cocoa colored head. Aroma of minerals, cocoa, caramel; aroma was a bit off for me. Flavor was a bit bland, they were likely targetting a mass appeal with this one. Some roasted, cocoa and mineral-like notes. Not bad, just not much going on.

33 cl. Opaque black with a ring of cream. Mild aromas of coffee, caramel, and a whiff of earthy vegetables. Flavor starts the same, but develops more char, and then touches of iron, tart apple, sour cream, and brown sugar. Medium body is well-balanced, but has a bit too much carbonation.

Bottle... Pours nearly black with a small, flimsy, mushroom-colored head. Good creamy retention. The aroma offers light notes of dark chocolate and espresso, but is mainly just bland as I had to really dig my nose deep into the glass to pull out anything at all. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The flavor is mildly roasty and perfectly balanced, but for the most part, itís just bland, mundane and fairly lifeless. Finishes crisp and a tad roasty, but mostly just clean.

Bottle @ home. Deep brown appearance with a light brown head. Roasty dark malty, grassy, hay aroma. Deeply roasty malty, light espresso, hay, straw flavor. Light bodied. Pretty gross. Fuck I made some bad choices on my mixer sixer tonight.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours black with dark brown highlights and one inch light brown head. Some lacing, medium body, light/medium texture, and roasted malt aroma. Taste is roasted malt and some grassy hops in the finish.

Looks like a stout, but the taste is all lager. Nothing special about this at all. Very disappointing.

Location: 11.2 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 12/5/11

Aroma: The nose is fairly light, with some roasted notes, toast/bread, and a hint of chocolate
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a fizzy light brown head, and some spotty lace
Flavor: The taste is light-medium sweet, somewhat roasty/toasty, with just a hint of bitterness
Palate: The body is light, it is a little bit too watery, with a tingly mouthfeel, and a fairly short duration
Overall Impression: Alright, so Iíve seen enough commercials for this one to last me a lifetime. Well, I guess my expectations were a little to high here. It is pretty much just an adjunct watery attempt at a Schwazbier. At least I could tell what style they were going for, Iíll give them that.
