Old rate. This is not the worst thing in the wold, tates like a roastier lager version of guinness. Still prefer the original with the ball can. BeerandBlues2 (13719) - Escondido, California, USA - OCT 20, 2011
Bottle. Pours clear black with a small, fizzy off-white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is roast and chocolate malt, leather yeast, earthy notes, and dark fruits. Flavor is medium malt, light hops, leather yeast, and a clean lager character. Light body, low warmth, medium carbonation. Dogbrick (13554) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 17, 2011
This brew pours black with some chestnut color around the edges. Medium thin tan head that diminishes steadily to a film. Somewhat roasty aroma with notes of malt and chocolate. Light to medium body with a roasted malt character and flavors of mild hops and chocolate. The finish is short roasty malt. Seems like this beer is being marketed as a "less heavy Guinness" which is amusing. Simply average overall.
