Bottle. Pours clear black with a small, fizzy off-white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is roast and chocolate malt, leather yeast, earthy notes, and dark fruits. Dogbrick (12343) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 17, 2011
This brew pours black with some chestnut color around the edges. Medium thin tan head that diminishes steadily to a film. Somewhat roasty aroma with notes of malt and chocolate. Light to medium body with a roasted malt character and flavors of mild hops and chocolate. The finish is short roasty malt. Seems like this beer is being marketed as a "less heavy Guinness" which is amusing. Simply average overall.
