Old rate. This is not the worst thing in the wold, tates like a roastier lager version of guinness. Still prefer the original with the ball can.

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black with a small sized head. Blah ... muted roast and chocolate. Maybe I did it wrong - I see in the description to enjoy ice cold straight from the bottle ....

Several bottle samples at the LCBO on WIlson as I explained what the term and style was to the friendly rep they sent out. Its black without much head, or unfortunately much taste either. It’s not up to the style. Better than the stout they serve here.A bit thin and overcarbonated.

"light but pleasant aroma and flavor of roasted malts, caramel and/or mollasses. refreshing dark beer...nicely done. i was not a fan of Guinness til the foreighn extra got there (that beer is awesome) but this one is quite pleasant even though light. nothing that’ll blow you away, but quite nice all-around."

Bottle. Pours brown to black, with a medium sized beige to tan head. Roast, thin malt on the nose, grainy toast. Thin and roasty. Basic shwarzbier. Grain and roast. Meh.

11.2 oz bottle. L3028GD001. (Midtown Wine) Nashville, TN.
Black colour with a red hue and a small tan head. Sweet malt, toasted bread and brown sugar in the aroma. Sweet malt and some darker tones in the flavour. Not very good.

Bottle. Woody chocolate malt aroma. Dark brown color with giant tan head.. Lightly sweet chocolate malt flavor. Very light body. No bad flavors but extremely light.

hopscotch (11101) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 11, 2011
Bottle... Pours nearly black with a small, flimsy, mushroom-colored head. Good creamy retention. The aroma offers light notes of dark chocolate and espresso, but is mainly just bland as I had to really dig my nose deep into the glass to pull out anything at all. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The flavor is mildly roasty and perfectly balanced, but for the most part, it’s just bland, mundane and fairly lifeless. Finishes crisp and a tad roasty, but mostly just clean.
