I found this pretty tasty. Some roasty notes, not that heavy, certainly hit the spot for Beer Friday at work. Lorenasa (159) - Florida, USA - OCT 13, 2011
Drank straight from bottle. Dark and smooth. Smooth malt flavors with a slight bitter after taste. nike (966) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 16, 2011
12 oz bottle, poured into a lager glass, black in color with frothy head with a little lacing on the glass. Aroma is decent beer with a hint of citrusy smell. Taste is clean, crisp, palate is thin and watery, good lager flavor. Lively CO2, good Black Lager. Slimcane (11) - Virginia, USA - DEC 28, 2012
This is my go-to dark beer for every day. Smooth taste, yet more complex than other similarly priced beers. Goes well with medium to heavy flavored meals. PsychoGunnar (201) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 10, 2013
Roasted barley, very burnt, smokeish malt taste. Looks extremely good, making the expectations a bit hard to reach. The palate has a bit of the classic Guinness creaminess. Tastes mostly of a good burnt malt and little else. Grows on you.

It doesn’t have that little bit of sour malt taste that a true Guinness has, but it’s really good...dark malt flavors balanced with bitterness, and much lighter than a Guinness. I really liked it. RJ815 (16) - Florida, USA - DEC 3, 2013
Smooth and not too bitter. Might not be suitable for those who like a really strong taste, but I found it quite enjoyable. Paired well with sandwiches. Finhead (1742) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - FEB 27, 2011
A deep black pour with a tan head. It has a roasted malt aroma with slight chocolate. The taste is lightly sweet with an oily texture, lively carbonation, and a roasted finish. Deu (948) - Nantes, FRANCE - FEB 5, 2013
330ml Bottle. Dark brown with thick foamy tan head. Smell is malty. Taste is watery malt with slight hops around the edge. Really good and refreshing (nice during summer). MarkSachon (1009) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 24, 2013
12 oz bottle from Baruni’s in Baden, PA. A nice addition to the Guinness family and a good alternative if you’re not quite up to drinking a stout. Wonderful colors and rather smooth on the mouth feel.
