Nitro-can, nitro-keg and nitro-bottle; Filtered
Usually called Draught; sometimes called Cold or Extra Cold - same beer, but served colder. Abv ranges from 4.1 to 4.3 % depending on where it was brewed (Guinness exports a hopped and concentrated wort to regional breweries who then brew it on site).
Launched in 1961.
Ingredients: Pale ale malt, about 25 to 30% flaked barley, and about 10% roasted barley, with no other grains or sugars; several hop varieties, mainly Goldings (pellets and isomerized extract); a flocculent head-forming ale yeast.

Pours pitch black with a very decent slowly dissipating cream head. Light malty aromas. Taste is very malty and sweet. Some smooth bitterness, coffee and barley hints to be noticed in the flavor. Finish is not very strong and medium dry. Palate is medium bodied, creamy and smooth. Very little carbonation. Overall a very decent dry stout. Very enjoyable in moderate quantities

14.9 ounce can into imperial pint glass, canned on 5/26/2016. Pours crystal clear very dark brown color with a 1 finger dense and creamy light tan head that lasts the whole glass. Thick creamy lacing clings down the glass. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, and toasted dark bread; with light nuttiness, smoke, dark fruit, herbal, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of roast/bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, and toasted dark bread; with light nuttiness, smoke, dark fruit, herbal, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/roast bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toasted dark bread, light nuttiness/smoke/herbal, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good robustness and balance of roast/bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a nice roasted bitter/sweet balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from roast/bitterness, increasing through the glass. Light carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly grainy/chalky, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is okay. Very thin with no creaminess at all. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this was a decent Irish dry stout. All around good robustness and balance roast/bready malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. This was too thin and bit watery than I expected; but it was still quite enjoyable overall, and a good style example.

Very nice and creamy head. Very smooth. Smooth mild malty flavor. I always enjoy a Guinness on tap.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2017 Classic Guinness pour, lots of head if your not too careful. Eddies of tiny bubbles as the beer settles. Quite a mild aroma of roasted malt. Very clean taste, quite understated. Almost a little watery. Malt otherwise, chocolate and some coffee. Extremely smooth drinking. A classic.

Barwa prawie czarna. Piana jasno br?zowa, drobno ziarnista przypomina rozpuszczone lody kawowe. Aromaty kawy, kawy z rumem czy likieru. W smaku bardzo podobnie. Goryczka kawowa, palona jest niska i ma?o intensywna. Wysycenie ?rednie w kierunku do niskiego, pasuje. Piwp jest zdecydowanie za "chude", wodniste i to jest na pewno minus.

Can. Nice coffee & roasted malt aroma, but taste is totally empty, almost like water. Only a little bit of coffee. Nitrogen gives some smoothness.

Dark black and a solid creamy foam. Dark roasted malt and a medium body. I don’t liken it that much but it is a good beer

Bottle. Aroma- weak coffee and some maltiness. Black, clear, with a fantastic head- I’ve tried this beer couple of times, but nitrogen always makes an impression. Taste- creamy, with delicate coffee and nothing more- no roastiness, no bitterness. Quite watery in the aftertaste. Good beer for a football match, but as a Stout- quite poor.
