Usually called Draught; sometimes called Cold or Extra Cold - same beer, but served colder. Abv ranges from 4.1 to 4.3 % depending on where it was brewed - Guinness exports a hopped and concentrated wort to regional breweries who then brew it on site.
Launched in 1961.
Ingredients: Pale ale malt, about 25 to 30% flaked barley, and about 10% roasted barley, with no other grains or sugars; several hop varieties, mainly Goldings (pellets and isomerized extract); a flocculent head-forming ale yeast.

Brown-black colour. Beautiful medium-sized beige head that lasts fine. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate and sugars. Tastes sweet, but not a very carachterful or complex-tasting beer.

1 pint from tap in Heathrow airport. Pours black with a brown head. Aroma is rather mildly malty, slight roasted. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavour is roasted malty with a minor sweet note and slight citric note breaking through the otherwise very smooth beer. Ends is a slight roasted bitterness. Nice.

A black beer with a beutiful brown creamy head. The aroma is slight - too slight - but with notes of sweetness and roasted malt. The flavor is creamy smooth with a sweet malty start and ending on a slight roasted note, that lingers a little and turns dry. Not a good stout - too thin.

joergen (29799) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 29, 2005
Draught. Dark brown colored with a creamy off white head. Light roasted aroma with notes of coffee. Roasted flavour with notes of malts and corn. Very watery - a big disappointment !

Draft @ Pickwick Pub, Malmö. Pours a black color with a creamy tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel aroma. Roasted malty smooth caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty caramel and dark rye bread finish.

Draught. Very black, storm in the glass, thick tan head. Aroma of burnt carbon. Creamy taste, with an edge of roasted coffee and a hint of chocolate. Nice.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2012 Tapped. Dark brown (close to black) with huge brown foamy head. Mainly smoky aroma with small soapish tone. Flavour is smoky with hints of rye bread. Good palate and wellbalanced taste. 6 4 6 4 13.

Nitro Can. (re-rate due to the 10th anniversary of 2Pac on RateBeer). Very deep rubyish black colour with a mediumsized white head. Mild smoked wood, some slight roasted malts as well as mild ashes. Flavour is ashes, mild roasted notes with some rye and mild creamy notes. Quite a thick palate, though not too strong flavour. 6 4 6 4 13. Nice to see that the points given a long time ago are still the same on this one.

Black, creamy, roasty, dry and bitter. This was once upon a time one of my favourite beer, but since that I've learned a lot. It is not exactly subtle, but far better than most other mega brews.

Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 28, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 13, 2005 (Can 50 cl) Fine, dense brownish head from the nitrogen-widget (which somehow also makes this rather flat). Black as original sin, slightly burned and bitter - typical Guinness. 300503
