Nitro-can, nitro-keg and nitro-bottle; Filtered
Usually called Draught; sometimes called Cold or Extra Cold - same beer, but served colder. Abv ranges from 4.1 to 4.3 % depending on where it was brewed (Guinness exports a hopped and concentrated wort to regional breweries who then brew it on site).
Launched in 1961.
Ingredients: Pale ale malt, about 25 to 30% flaked barley, and about 10% roasted barley, with no other grains or sugars; several hop varieties, mainly Goldings (pellets and isomerized extract); a flocculent head-forming ale yeast.

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2013 Head: beige, small-to-medium, extremely creamy, long retention. Colour: black, technically, dark red and clear. Aroma: caramel, light roasty, licorice maybe? Taste: creamy, smoky, light caramel, but mostly dry, bitter finish.

Pours deep brown to black with a beautiful beige head. Nose is roasted malt and a hint of coffee. Taste is coffee, chocolate, and lots of malt. Very creamy and smooth. This is the original; if I’m judging on style it’s a perfect score. But to my personal preference, it’s just fine. It’s nice, light, and easily drinkable. I’d happily drink it all night long and, while, not being? blown away, wouldn’t be too upset.

Dark, dark brown almost black with a tan 1.5 finger head. Head retention is superb and watching the nitro pour in action is always cool. Thin creamy body with low carbonation.

Bardzo kremowe i nisko wysycone. Prezentuje się pięknie. W zapachu słody. Smak: smukły i lekki z wyczuwalną lekką kawą.

The beer looks perfect (if properly poured). Excellent beige head, and it tastes very nice. One of my favourite light beers - definitely worth the price.

(440ml can) Aroma: Chocolate, caramel, a little bit like a dark lager. Not intensive at all. Appearance: Dark, but not completely black, clear, good head - like always from nitrogen. Taste: Little sweet and some bitterness is present too. It’s very blank. Little chocolate, some malt and caramel. Palate: No body at all, thin texture, actually, long, bitter finish - which is nice. And it’s flat ofc. Overall: That was weak, more like a water, black water with head. Probably beter than most mass beers, but still nothing particular.

Can. Clear dark cola body, small nitro beige head with good retention. Aroma of burned caramel, toast and condensed milk. Taste of burned caramel, burned malts, toast and herbs. Slightly odd palate.

Tap at Seamus O’Donnels, Bristol. St Patrick’s Day celebration. Huge off-white, creamy head, very dark brown, nearly black colour, nice lacing. Aroma: Roasted malts and coffee. Taste: Lightly bitter, with dry/coffee finish. Light to medium body, bit watery, flat. Very nice at the beginning, quite boring towards the end, however had a great time.
