Based on Guinness recipes from the early 1800s. This was a time when porter was the working man’s beer and after a long day’s work in Dublin or London, Guinness would have been a respected choice.

500ml bottle from Pop Inn, Reading. Very dark brown colour with beige head. Big dark malts, bready malt, big soy sauce, light mocha, light dark fruits, light sourness.

Too thin, too light, not smoky enough for what I usually look for from porters. Flavours of dried fruit and bitter chocolate but its lack of texture means those quickly fade away.

Pours black with caramel reflect with medium tan head. Nose is absent. Aromas are roasted malts, with soapy notes. Flat carbonation, light body. Abrupt finish. OK for long Irish nights in a pub. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Really looking forward to this with its low % mild attitude, I usually like mild beers. Pour is big and black from a bottle. First taste is very pleasant, yummy actually. Reminds me of black cat I think. Very good cutting carbonation and a civilized attitude that is easy to take. i just think I may go get a case if this, the price seems right, $1.50 per bottle! Gentle easy fun. Very nice session dark beer, reminds me of a dark michelob or dark lager, very very friendly. Probably should be styled as a mild beer. It even has a tad of tart attitude about it. Quite nice, well done. Friendly roasted character throughput. Never in yer face. Certainly one of the better porters I've had in a long time. Quite refreshing considering all the rude examples of porter I've had lately. Looking forward to my next bottle of this brew! Lovely! Right up there with Indigo Imp Gatekeeper, East End Pink Clouds Porter, Yuengling Original Black and Tan & Evans Chocolate Porter

Fles gedeeld met Roelzie1986. Het is een donker bruin bier met weinig schuim. Het heeft in de verte wat aroma, licht gebrand en caramelachtig. De smaak is zacht zoet en een beetje waterig.

Caramel dark fruits. Nice on nose. Taste dissappointing. Similar to coca cola. Some stouty malt notes. Not reccommended

Guinness Dublin Porter has a thin-to-medium, cola-like beige head, with some creaminess, a dark brown appearance, and some glass lacing. Aroma is of dark cherry, dark malt, brown bread crust, and some syrup. Taste is the same, with a cream note. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Guinness Dublin Porter finishes medium dry and highly quaff-able. RJT

Pours very ark, almost black with a beige head. Intense flavour of roasted malts, very slight bitter note. Not too sweet. Has relatively high carbonation for a Porter, which I like. Nice one.

Aus der Flasche am 2016-05 getrunken. Warum braut man so ein wässriges und langweiliges Bier? Nein das brauche ich nicht noch einmal.
