Bottle. Roasty coffee aroma. Roasty coffee aroma with hints of chocollate and caramel. Dry aftertaste. Nothing particularily wrong with this beer, but it’s not too impressive.

JaKeAFC (1283) - ITALY - MAR 3, 2012
33cl bottle as Guinness Original, 5%. Almost black with red-bordeaux hues under a powerful light. Beige head, reducing but lacing. Nose of toasted cereals. Aroma of cereals, roasted malts and some coffey notes. Pleasing bitterness balances initial malts sweetness and it’s a little acidic. Carbonation is modarate but sustained. Light to medium body, watery texture, fairly dry finish. A bit weak but not bad.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

A nearly black color with beige foam on top. Roasty chocolate smell. Feels foamy with a very bitter and slight watery taste. Not that bad but certainly not one of my favorite stout beers.

330 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours very dark chestnut brown with a frothy gray head that leaves some nice looking lacing on the glass while slowly dissipating. Smell is malty, sweet and fruity with lightly roasted malts and plums. Taste is malty and bitter with roasted malts, smoke, wood and coffee. finish is dry and bitter with wood and coffee. Bit unbalanced...

edpeg (906) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 27, 2012
Pours pitch black with beige creamy lacing head. Aromas caramel, roasted malts, plums. Texture is creamy with thick full body. Carbonation is medium and smooth. Palate is sweet malts with roastiness. Aftertaste is bitter and dry and little woody. Finish is watery with long bitter and dry flavour. Quite ok for a style, but average anyway.

stefannilssons (1582) - SWEDEN - JAN 26, 2012
Slutsats: jovars.

Une bière inimitable. Une bonne guinness en plus "tranquille". Très agréable à boire.

andrepintado (3661) - Porto, PORTUGAL - DEC 6, 2011
bottle from el corte ingles, lisbon, portugal. Dark color. Brown medium head. Very high coffee aroma and a little roasted. Also water aroma in it. Low carbonation. Medium bitterness.
