Bottled. Dark ruby red colour with big foamy white head. Aroma of roasted malts. Flavour is strong roasted malts along with vegetables. Quite boring, watery and sweet stout. Travlr (25496) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 8, 2009
Draught in Koeln, Germany, but poured by Patrick from Dublin. Black, typical storm in the glass, thick tan head. Aroma of burnt espresso. Creamy mouthfeel with an edge of roasted coffee and a hint of chocolate, bitter finish. Nearly as good as the irish version, and much better than the American one. omhper (25349) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 29, 2006

A 1983 veteran!!! Still quite well carbonated. Mild smoky tones with a crisp malt and a subtle chocolate tone. Surprisingly good and has survived remarkably well.
(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Completely opaque black with a dense, beige head leaving laces. Lightly chocolatey nose. Fairly light body, roasted amd lightly burned malt accents. A weak tang of cardboard before a bitter finish. 180607
