Flatter than the regular with no creamy head and bitterness that has no body to balance it. obxdude10 (2324) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 24, 2003
Beautiful black color, huge tan head that laced around the glass, a little thiner than the extra stout, I still prefer the draft (of course), but if I can't have it on draft then give it to me in the can, but still an excellent stout

Good stout, better out of the can if you can’t get one on tap.
Strong flavor and impressive dark color. Flavor was better when served at room temperature. mjmurphy2 (85) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 18, 2003
Not as good as draught style. A smooth, smoky stout that doesn't have much body to it. Even when it's lukewarm it tastes COLD, which is interesting. victorious99 (13) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 16, 2003
Amazing beer. Great color, great taste. Somewhat bitter aftertaste but not bad. Gorgeous beer.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2008 Pours a deep black with a tan head. Bitter and very roasted like burnt coffee. This is the king of the Irish stouts Nezhy99 (5) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 7, 2003 does not count
The new Guinness Draught Bottle is a vast improvement on this one. vector (163) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 7, 2003
UPDATED: OCT 27, 2003 Not as good as guinness stout. Needs nitro. Higher ABV and some more depth of flavor would be nice. 666seth (229) - California, USA - JAN 6, 2003
I like this one better than their draught style! very nice roasted barley flavor!! mmmmmhhhhhh
