1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Rough beer. As usual with guinness there is not enough malts or hops, but they have this time been able to come up with the strangest stinging aroma which has something to do with herbal aroma. I can not think not think jagermeister. I am not convinced. A good stout should not taste like this.
Bottle from Redmond’s. Big fan of this. There’s biscuit and raisin going on - it’s more than just strong Guinness, for sure. But the coffee-bitter thing is still there, in abundance, and that offsets the booziness. Cokemonkey11 (891) - - APR 9, 2017
Bottle. Pours black and headless. Scent is ethanol on dense old ale, almost Belgian in style. Taste is consistent and quite on the plain side, with notes of cherry wood and sour berries. Slightly slimy. Very good. ken1 (2004) - DENMARK - APR 8, 2017

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black color with small brown head. Aroma of alcohol, chocolate, coffee and dark rum. In flavor there are notes of chocolate, tobacco, maybe some orange also. Medium-full body. Sweet. Overall: nice one. Alcohol is well hidden. Maybe just a bit too sweet for me. Saeglopur (2178) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - NOV 1, 2016

Almost black body, with a massive, dense, creamy, lacing, beige head.
Aroma of toast, caramel, vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee, some dark fruits, slight spices.
Tastes of toast, coffee, cocoa powder, some vanilla, some liquorice, slight dark fruits.
Finishes roasty-bitter, quite dry, a bit sweet, medium alcohol warming, toasty, with coffee and some liquorice.
Nice one. Shares similarities with the regular Foreign Extra Stout, but it isn’t on par at all. Still enjoyable, fully aromatic and smooth to drink.
Bottle from a convenience store in Ipswich. Pours almost black with a lasting tan colour head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and caramel. Heavy sweetness, mellow roasted bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Finish is more bitter, with a slight roughness. But overall not bad and more enjoyable than other Guinness I’ve tried. kraddel (8156) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - AUG 31, 2016
Pours black, small white head. Smell is sweet, dark, coffee. Taste is metallic, sweet, plastic. Rotting Wood. Over-aged hay, rotting Grass. Bit bitter. Waw, pretty damn bad.
