Bottle. Roasted malt aroma. Black beer with a large beige head. The taste is dark roasted malts and hops. The hops are quite bitter and resinous. A nice addition to the Guinness extract. It is medium bodied and smooth. A very good Foreign stout.

600 ml bottle from a supermarket in London, bb 21 06 17.
Almost black body, with a massive, dense, creamy, lacing, beige head.
Aroma of toast, caramel, vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee, some dark fruits, slight spices.
Tastes of toast, coffee, cocoa powder, some vanilla, some liquorice, slight dark fruits.

Finishes roasty-bitter, quite dry, a bit sweet, medium alcohol warming, toasty, with coffee and some liquorice.

Nice one. Shares similarities with the regular Foreign Extra Stout, but it isnt on par at all. Still enjoyable, fully aromatic and smooth to drink.

Grumbo (1657) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - OCT 14, 2016
Bottle from a convenience store in Ipswich. Pours almost black with a lasting tan colour head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and caramel. Heavy sweetness, mellow roasted bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Finish is more bitter, with a slight roughness. But overall not bad and more enjoyable than other Guinness Ive tried.

Sickly sweet beer and I believe an acquired taste. Had in a hotel in Abuja and it fit the ambiance but when in Nigeria I prefer star beer. Though if you must get serenaded by a lounge singer, this beer will do the trick ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

MelvinKalksma (1109) - UTRECHT, NETHERLANDS - JUN 7, 2016

Aroma:
Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, dried fruit, liquorice, chocolate and cardboard.

Appearance:
Opaque dark brown/black beer with a slight/medium beige/brown head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts slightly/medium sweet with malts, caramel, dried fruit, liquorice and chocolate; ends slightly dry with cardboard.

Overall:
This beer is rather intense and balanced, but lacks depth and complexity. The sorghum make it really weird, but unique.

Bottled, 325ml from Grimsbury Londis, Banbury, Oxon. Black with cream head. There is a malty, fruity sweetness to this, quite plummy, some fructose notes. There is an alcohol note to it along with a slight boiled vegetable hint. Its fine.
