COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Foreign Extra Stout is a beer like no other. The most full-flavoured of all. Singular and striking. Uniquely satisfying. Brewed with extra hops and roasted barley for a natural bite. Bitter and sweet. Refreshingly crisp. Always rewarding. Pure beauty. Pure GUINNESS.

Editor’s Note: This is the standard FES. Sometimes it is imported from Ireland but more often it is brewed locally. This version is most common in the Caribbean and Africa. All versions from those places, save for Jamaica, Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana should be rated here.

33cl from bottle. The classical Guinness but much more character. Slightly darker, not as smooth, but more complex and malty

Bottle. Pours hazy very dark brown with stable creamy tan head. Clear aroma of malt, fruit and roast, with notes of yeast. Sweetish flavour of malt and dired fruit, with notes of roast and yeast and touches of hops. Roasty and estery aftertaste with malty notes. Creamy mouthfeel. A very nice Foreign Stout. The fact that it is mass produced does not change a thing here.

Comes in the well known dark bottle, Guinness Special Export Stout is a beer with its own unique taste. Can I find the classic Guinness taste in this Foreign Extra version? Pours the expected pitch black colour with a tan whitish head that didn’t last too long, with little lacing. A very strong aroma of dark cocoa, coffee and roasted malts. The smell is quite strong on the nose. The taste was powerful. Now I know why in Africa they use the slogan "Guinness gives you power!" It was a very strong tasting stout, with a long bitter aftertaste, that had a bite to it. Overall a good strong stout, tasting of roasted malt with traces of coffee. As you would expect with a Guinness stout the flavours are complex and well balanced, making it one of the worlds richest tasting beers. Still not as good as a pint of the real black stuff beside the Liffey, Dublin town.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a dark brown with a large tan head. The aroma is smoky sweet malt. The taste is smoky malt bliss.

Bottle. Opaque black with brownish head. The aroma has notes of milk chocolate, molasses, toffee and chocolate cake. Sweet and bitterish flavor with notes of milk chocolate, coffee, molasses, licorice, a bit alcoholic. Medium to full-bodied. Nice.

Irish draft beer in Shamrock bar in Novi Sad, Serbia. Expensive but very good, worth it. So milky soft in mouth, not so drinkable, pretty color and foam, special pouring technique.
