12oz bottle 11/14/12 (Dominicks) Winter Sampler-49° in English Pint-Pours a dark ruby red with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, toffee, and slight vanilla. Taste of the same with more malt and more vanilla. This medium bodied brew is not too shabby. hotstuff (5160) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Bottle and rated on 11-17-2012. This beer poured a small, smooth ivory head that mostly diminished, fair amount of lacing, transparent body, slow-rising carbonation, and an amber hue. The Aroma is malty, caramel, notes of toffee, nutty, and vanilla. The Flavor is malty, caramel, notes of vanilla, and has a light hoppy finish. The Mouthfeel is lightly tingly and this is a medium bodied beer. Overall, this is a quaffable Amber Ale and a beer that I would consider drinking again. The brew starts out with a lovely dark red pour and light tan head. A bit more and longer lasting head would improve the appearance, but it’s nice nevertheless. Nose is very typically amber ale, with some sweet maltiness dominating the aroma. Flavor is similar to the nose, with the addition of some mild hop notes that peak in the middle and fade toward a malty finish. scooterbub (1067) - Lander, Wyoming, USA - JAN 1, 2013
330 ml bottle from variety pack. Pours a dark brown with a two inch tan head. Taste is of malt, caramel, hops, pine, some citrus and the normal Guinness flavors are there. Similar clean aroma. Has a mostly full body and a slightly bitter and dry finish. Easy to drink, satisfying and quite enjoyable. Well worth having again. mjg74 (3106) - La Mesa, California, USA - JAN 11, 2013
Bottle from Walmart. Nose is bready and somewhat sweet. Toasted malt dominate. Some breadiness, with some underlying sweetness. Lightly hopped finish.

Dec 16, 2012. 330ml bottle from Guinness winter pack. Pours dark clear mahogany with thick bone coloured head which fades to cap. Soapy lacing endures to finish. Aroma is roasted biscuit malts and some spices with hints of herb or grass. Flavour is light toasted malt with hints of old Guinness stout with added grassy finish. Palate is smooth somewhat watery but surprisingly becomes heavier and more complex towards finish. Deeper, stronger flavours build over duration with more fruit and spice and less roasted malt moving away from traditional Guinness flavours. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - FEB 18, 2013
Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark nut brown with a ruby hue and minimal head. Aroma of coffee, vanilla and christmas spices. Taste is light bitter. Coffee, spices abd a little vanilla. Medium bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. Nothing to seek out but drinkable. Onslow (1496) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - NOV 8, 2014
Pour from a can, part of a sampler 8 pack. Clear brown brew with tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, a little grass, a hint of roasted malt. Taste is sweet malt at the start, very rich, transitioning to a somewhat crude hoppy finish with bits of roasted malt coming through. Good palate.
