If you were in a pub sometime between 1821 and 1970, chances are this is the Guinness you would have been drinking. Originally brewed as the XX version of our Porter, it’s hoppy, roasty, and crisp, with a bittersweet finish.

Can. Pour is mostly dark with a light tan head. Aroma is somewhat sweet with some roasty and milk chocolate aroma. Flavor is nice and subtle, with smooth notes of chocolate, burnt toast, and sweet malt. Nice brew. Kicks that ass of guiness draft any day flavorwise.

0.5 bottle @ Davies Court
Very dark brown in color with a small, brownish head. Aroma of dark malts, roast, leather, chocolate. Taste is sweeter, milkier, chocolate persists, roast is subdued. Medium, slick, almost fizzy. Finish is medium long and sweet too. Overall, not a bad brew for commercial purposes.

MrTipple (6574) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 10, 2017
Dark, roasted, toasted malts, charred toast bread, sweet, dark fruits, candied prunes. Hazy, dark brown, small, creamy, off-white head. Light bitter. More dark, toasted malts, dark roast coffee, burnt, dark toasted bread, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Decent, prefer the draft version. Bottle from Waitrose, Chiswick.

kraddel (9176) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - NOV 7, 2017
Pours very dark brown. Good, stable, rather sizeable white , creamy foam. Smell is rather weak. roasted malts, coffee, tad of sweetness to it. Taste is sharp, bit bitter, dry roastyness, coffee, sharp carbonation, bit creamy mouthfeel.

dorain (691) - Berlin, GERMANY - NOV 6, 2017
Aus der Flasche am 2016-05 getrunken. Leider viel zu dünn und lieblos. Wie schon das Dublin Porter ist das ein Guinness was ich nicht brauche. Enttäuschend!

SinH4 (6401) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - OCT 31, 2017
Bottle. Darkest brown with creamy eggshell head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, touch of coffee. Taste is chocolate, a touch roast, lacto, grainy. Oily, a bit watery mouthfeel, with medium carbonation. Ok.

The best Stout in the world. Just taste better in Ireland. Fresh and alive. Pure quality! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

jonas (8160) - Garching close to the monks, GERMANY - OCT 29, 2017
Bottle. darkest chestnut, creamy golden brown head. Slightly perfumed aroma. Light fruity roast with a bit of chalk and earthy/grassy hops. Light, mellow body. Earthy berrylike and roasted nutty notes retronasal. Pleasant, a lot better than the Draught.

jrh2254 (171) - burton-on-trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 27, 2017
A Guinness original in a 440ml can. Pours with a thick head. Roasted Chocolate burnt malt. Nice for a change. Quaffable at 4.2%. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ronaldtheriot (2008) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - OCT 22, 2017
Guinness Original has a thick, creamy, beige head, a dark brown, with red highlights, appearance, and some spiderweb glass lacing. Aroma is of dark-roasted malt, cream, coffee, and brown bread crust. Taste is of those elements, with some acrid char, but no burnt qualities. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Guinness Original finishes very dry. RJT

Oziozi (37) - Pila, POLAND - OCT 20, 2017

Barwa: Ciemne, nieprzejrzyste.
