Bottle. Hazy dark red brown color with a high creamy and long lasting crispy white head. Spicy malt aroma with alcohol notes. Pleasant smooth malt flavor without carbonation. Hops bitterness in the aftertaste.

33 cl bottle. Pours amber red no head. Aroma is barley malt. Taste is malt and hints of alcohol and caramel. Not bad but I would have hoped for more from a vintage ale.

Ungstrup (38249) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 16, 2008
Bottled. A slightly hazy deep red beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of berries, malt, caramel, and prunes. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of malt, caramel, prunes, and brown sugar as well as lighter notes of spices and wood. The alcohol tickles the tongue.

Dark brown with a lively tan head. Roasted aroma, tastes of alcohol and malt. Should age well.

Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 29, 2005
(Bottle 33 cl) Dark brownish with a tint of red. Presumably clear and filtered with a tall, creamy and rather stable head. Vinous, slightly tart aroma. Quite dry - especially in comparison with the original version. Roasted, malty flavour with marked notes of licorice. Perhaps also a wee touch of Balsamico. 281205

Koelschtrinker (21364) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 23, 2011
/8/8/9/fl/8

fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 14, 2008
Excessive foam, like 98% of the glass (I like my beer with low carbonation, so I don’t pour it slowly); well, eventually I get a very nice red-mahogany color, with still foam on top, irregular like whipped cream. It has a basic aroma, with some malt, caramel, Belgian yeast. Same for the flavor, quite round and sweet caramel flavor, low bitterness and light vegetables touch. Industrialized Dubbel.
