COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gulden Draak is a high fermentation beer with secondary fermentation. For the secondary fermentation, wine yeast is used. The white bottle, the black banner, the golden dragon and the red letters, constitute a stylish result that has no equal among the many Belgian special beers. Gulden Draak can be drunk as an aperitif or dessert, or whenever you have the time to sit back and relax. But this barley wine is also perfect with and in stews, especially the Ghent variety. It is also a plus in sauces for red meat, such as a bordelaise. It is particularly suited as a dessert beer, especially in combination with dark chocolate.

An apricot biscuit bomb that is only justified by its 10.5% abv. Goes great with snacks.

Nice amber color with medium sized brownish head. Sweet red berry fruity smell. Dominant grapes aroma, dried fruits, raisins and some malt in aroma. Taste is sweet, like fruity sugar sweet. Awesome.

330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with medium off-white head. Aroma of dried fruits, caramel, yeast, raisins, malts. Full body with average carbonation. Taste is very well bitter-sweet balance with a hint of alcohol. Very nice.

Gulden Draak pours a hazy light brown color with a long-lasting and frothy beige head that leaves decent lacing behind. The nose has notes of honey, caramel, and molasses as well as a hint of vanilla. The flavor hits with a sweet attack of caramel, cereal, cream, and sugar, followed by down-to-earth, full-bodied, and creamy mid-palate of baked apple, molasses, plum, and hints of vanilla and banana. The subsequent finish is gently bitter, tannic, peppery, and soothingly warming. A classic brew.

Amertume moyenne.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2017 Great refreshing taste. It confused me for my first time. I wasn't sure what taste I feel, but I was sure that I love it.

Ciemnobursztynowe. Piana niska, szybko opadajaca. sredniopecherzykowa. W aromacie owoce, rodzynki, miód. W smaku rodzynki, miód/karmel, przyprawy korzenne z nutka wina. Calkiem slodkie, ale nie przesadzone

Quite powerful Belgian Ale, dark, rich in flavor, complex, very much to my liking.
