COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
GULDEN SPOOR RED ALE is a deep red and complex craft beer with a full and robust head. The specific color comes from smoked and carefully selected whisky malts. This is the full aroma of delicious fresh and spicy touches. The beer has a low alcohol content and a mild body which is enhanced by balanced hints of red fruit. The hints of smoked aroma makes the Gulden Spoor Red Ale fit well with fish, meat or desserts.

Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude and drunk at home. Hazy dark red colour lasting beige head. Some Belgian yeast some baked jam flavour some sweetness. I’m a little in 2 minds about this one. Some good jam fruit over a Belgian ale.

Bottled jan. 2016. Aroma sweetish, hints of caramel and burnt malts. Taste of candy sugar but not too sweet, again a little bit roasty. Has a distinct lactic sour quality, maybe that would be the smoked whiskey malts? Well balanced and very nice, aftertaste a bit watery though. Mouthfeel oily, carbonation lively but not overdone.

guzgorog (916) - FRANCE - NOV 12, 2016
Robe rousse / rouge, mousse blanche moyenne.

Bottled, at Belgobaren, Stockholm. Clear ruby, rich head. Raisiny nose. Mid dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Woody caramel, some milky tartness. Lingonberry and hay. Low bitterness.
