Don’t over analyse - just enjoy ! A superb full flavoured beer to be drunk when away from UK - although I’ve just bought a quantity in Holland to bring back home ! Yes, it’s that good ! zontomaatje (6) - Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - AUG 14, 2003 does not count
One of the 2002 winners for me for the Dutch Bockbeers!!!! It is a pity that the bock time takes so short..... cobellig (39) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 19, 2014

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2004 Great bockbeer! Very dark, brown beer with a large longlasting head and a full, intense aroma. Pretty sweet but not too overwhelming, very easy to drink, and the aftertaste is really fine, warming, sweet and slightly alcoholic.. Slaz (59) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 2, 2013
Pours red-brown with a low white head. Tastes mildly bitter and sweet with a hint of fruit. A very enjoyable bock, one of the best if you ask me!

30cl bottle @ home. Dark reddish-brown clear color, beige head, sweetish smell. Aroma caramel, chocolate, coffee, toast, slight alcohol notes. Taste medium sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness. Average carbonation, fine bitter finish. Delicious bock beer. Welley_Alves (261) - Sao Paulo, BRAZIL - JUL 20, 2013
Ótima dunkle Bock grega. Cor escura com media formação de espuma, aroma maltado intenso, frutas secas. Na boca gosto frutado, notas de coco, algo fenólico. Final longo, com aquecimento alcoólico no fim. Ótima breja!

It has a deep red color and pours like oil. Smells like honey and oats with butter. A thick water palate and flavors that match the aromas. Very smooth due to minimal carbonation and a healthy flavor with no bite. Delicious

The beer looks very nice. The beer is clear and has a reddish brown glow. The color is a beautiful ruby red. The beer is lighter than most bock beers. The beer forms quite a little bit of rough foam. The little bit of foam that does form has an almond color. The foam disappears quickly and a very small amount of rough foam remains on top of the beer. It’s a pity the foam isn’t thick and creamy. The smell is nice, but quite mild. I smell a little fresh hoppy note. I also smell some delicious sweet caramel aroma’s. This forms a very good contrast with the little hoppyness. There is also a little toasty aroma. The taste has the same nice flavors. I taste a little roast flavor, together with caramel. There is also a minimal chocolate hint. The beer has a nice fresh hoppy note. This is a beautiful contrast with the dark autumn flavors. The beer has a nice alcohol taste als wel. It’s a delicious bock beer.

The beer has a beautiful color. The color is a combination between ruby red and dark brown. It is beautiful. The beer pours a nice layer of almond colored foam. The most of the foam collapses and a thin foam drape remains. I miss a thick creamy foam layer, more beer should have that. The smell of the beer is quite mild. I smell a tiny bit of metal. Besides I smell a delicious sweet fall like aroma. There is caramel, golden syrup, a little licorice. There are all these nice dark aroma’s. The smells are very good for an autumn beer. There is also some fruit in the smell and a refreshing hop aroma. The taste is very nice. The beer has a decent bitterness. I taste a nice amount of alcohol. The beer gives a warming sensation in the mouth. There is a little bit of fresh hops on the background. There is also caramel and syrup in the taste. This beer definitely is one of the better bok beers around. It is perfect for the autumn.
