(bottle) very hazy deep ruby colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of acetone and cherry stones, with a hint of sugar icing, gently roasted malts and butterscotch. flavour is mostly earth and brown sugar, with some notes of ethanol, hazelnut husks and a semi-dry finish. heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

Ritzn (1984) - GERMANY - DEC 19, 2017
Brown. Aroma is butter, dates, figs, raisins, roasted almonds, slight oxidized. Taste is more of the same, very sweet and oily, some nuts. Full bodied. Creamy. Nice!

Bottle. Light hazy claret, offwhite cream. Roast, sugary/mead-like aroma, herbal. Medium light, dry body, light sticky. Dusty, berryschnaps, weevil grains, clay, chalk, Underberg. Sugar finish. Could easily be better.

SinH4 (6567) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - DEC 19, 2017
Bottle. Slightly unclear dark ruby color with beige head. Aroma is sugar syrup, raspberries, raisins, honey. Taste is herb bonbon, chocolate, fudge. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. I've had much better Eisbocks.

Beamer (134) - Malden, NETHERLANDS - DEC 16, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2017 Beetje vreemde smaak, romig karamel om mee te beginnen, de afdronk is zoet en iets bitter.

Oroboro24k (27) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 15, 2017
Mooi donker rood/bruin, kraag beige. Afdronk romig, beetje plakkerig.

note666 (1316) - Eindhoven, NETHERLANDS - NOV 10, 2017
2017 - 11 - 11 300ml bottle. medium brown colour. small off-white head. caramel in aroma. bittersweet taste.

rdb84 (641) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 26, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 29, 2017 Darkest brown, hazy, strong head. A: typical eisbock (good!), deep malt sweetness, dark fruits, plum, brandy, chocolate and ground coffee. Nice. T: deep, wine like mouthfeel with low carbonation. All elements return, though, bit on the sweet side with mostly raspberry, strawberry. Sweet malts in finish.

Bottle 30 cl at rickgordon at home tasting, on October 13, 2017.
Thanks to Nisse666!
Hazy brown color, tan head. Malty, alcohol, mellow, ripe banana scent. Berries, cognac, raisin taste. Raisin, alcohol, grainy aftertaste. Medium full mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Jesper86 (171) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 17, 2017
Good stuff. Apricots, caramel, chocolate, coffee. Some sweetness too. Nice length.
