750 ml bottle, corked and caged. Vintage 2010. Poured into a tulip glass at home. ABV 6.5%
Opens with a loud pop and gushes a little. When poured in the glass it gave me a very dark orange to amber beer, with a tall off white head. Kind of thin, but soapy and with good retention. Heavy lacing left on the glass.
Aroma is sweet with lots of caramel, malts and red fruits. Hints of alcohol make it smell like a fortified wine.
Tastes also sweet, with stewed red fruits, caramel, wine-like flavours. Very good!
Medium thin body, soft carbonation.
Overall quite good, I don’t know how it was fresh but now tastes great.

Bottled, 2010 vintage, thanks to a friend (Arjen) for sharing. Amber/brown colored, thick head, nice lacing. Nose of roasted malts, caramel, raisins, some wood perhaps. Malty flavor, initially sweet, later on a bit more bitter in finish. At this age it tastes like a mixture of a dubbel and a (top-fermented) Dutch herfstbock, which works out fine by the way. Nice beer, i liked it. mike_77 (7018) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - MAR 9, 2013
Red brown colour. Aroma is quite fruity and woody. Flavour has light caramel sweetness, low bitterness. dutchbeerpages (2439) - Wilnis, NETHERLANDS - DEC 24, 2012
In my father-in-laws end of the year work package. Sticky and slightly sour. Thin but a beautiful head. Looks like apple juice and tastes like it too. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - DEC 6, 2012
Bottle. Huge thick creamy foam, promising. Aroma is hayish dusty malt with a slight metal touch, too bad. Flavour is watery caramel malt, spices, molasses, a nice bitter roasty and hoppy touch. Way better than the aroma.

75 cl. bottle 2010 vintage @ home, shared with my in-laws, bought @ Mitra. Pours amber with a big off-white head. Fruity caramel citrus aroma. Tastes like a speciale belge with a citrushop twist. Nice bitter aftertaste. deanso (10220) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - MAY 4, 2012

Corked bottle. 2010. Dark amber color. caramel and a hint of grassy hops in the aroma. Malty sweet, caramelly nutty flavor with some earthy hops lingering on in the aftertaste. Sticky. Less sugar and more character, please.
