Can thanks to Bruce. It pours hazy golden with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, zingy, lemon - lime, but of spice, fragrant, toasty grain and earth. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, lactic, tangy, limey, key lime pie, decent mouth - pucker, sherbet and earth with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Fresh, bright and chuggable. Leighton (23410) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 10, 2018
Can shared in Hackney - thanks to Bruce. Pours unclear yellow-gold with a minimal, white foam head. Interesting spice in the nose, some citrus zest, pale bread. Light sweet flavour with a bit of lemony acidity, wheat flakes, orange peel, peach, salt. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Quenching finish, more lemon, grapefruit, zest, straw, salt, tart citrus. Great stuff. Super drinkable. sinfull (1892) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - OCT 20, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 30, 2017 Hazy , yellow color. Medium-sized, fizzy head. Funky aroma with notes of lime and wheat malt. Sour in taste with distinctive lime acidity. Refreshing and easy to drink. slowrunner77 (13622) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 13, 2017
Huh. Interesting for sure even if it isn't my favorite Berliner. Light spices and a dash of kwy lime on the nose and palate - reminiscent of key lime pie yogurt, but with the addition of the spices. Nice. Hard to tell how good the beer part actually is, but this was enjoyed. j12601 (13611) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - SEP 4, 2017
On tap at Micro Brew Fest 2017 in Boston, and then a can at home. Pours a hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Soft lime and citrus on the nose, a bit of fruit and sweetness. Medium bodied, light acid, big lime flavor, and a touch of creaminess. Is there some lactose in here maybe? Soft and easy drinking, acid gets fairly heavy for such a small beer. Tasty, crisp and clean, lime and a bit of spice.

Thoroughly hazy, copper-to-gold body is topped by a small, thin, off-white head showing low retention, no doubt in good part from the spices.
This sounds about as bad as it gets on paper but still had to give it a shot. Juicy, even salty, lime-like notes perk up in the nose as lactic acidity builds just in time for the spice to hit. For how powerful and astringent both cinnamon and nutmeg can be, it’s surprisingly not-overdone here and has an almost horchata-like similarity to the nose. Milky/yogurty notes are nicely developed and and the spicing deepens things and gives it more richness without adding acidity itself. Clean and with no flaws.
If I was surprised by the nose then the flavor was even more impressive. Juicy lactic and lime-like acidity are matched nearly perfectly by the rich, yet tastefully-done spicing. It doesnt come off as just individual notes of lime, lactic acid and cinnamon, but rather has actual strong integration and does seem like a fruity, lime-accented, sour horchata. And add bad as that sounds, it’s actually quite pleasant. Carbonation is low but fairly engaging, while there’s enough texture from the wheat (and probably some thickening from the spice) to balance everything going on here. Lactic acid is nicely integrated and there’s no flaw or alcohol and most importantly, no astrigent spice character. A ballsy experiment and they pulled it off about as well one could hope. Giving a little extra credit score-wise for how difficult this would be to brew well.
From tap. Pours hazy yellow, small white head. Aroma is citrusy and mild sourish. Citric, lime and solid sourish. Herbal, cinnamon and nutmeg. Dry, spiced and citric finish. Strange, but it works out ok. trapped (3926) - New York, TURKEY - JUL 6, 2017
Can. Pours cloudy bright yellow with small foamy whitish head, lightly acidic malt aroma, high carbonation, tart lime taste, thin body, medium tart finish. Nice, refreshing beer good for hot summer days. jtclockwork (17942) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 17, 2017
Can with label - pours yellow gold white head- nose and taste of key lime, lemon, lactose sourness, cinnamon and light nutmeg - lighter medium body Ron (4332) - Rochester, New York, USA - MAY 23, 2017
Can after lawn and Disc golf. Big citrus (Lime) aroma. Big sour lime flavor upfront, and a little malt backbone. Much more powerful sour than other Berliners I have tried.
