COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
All light vanishes here. The pitch-black color and cocoa-espresso aroma and flavor are derived from roasted barley while the complexity is enhanced by the strength of this foreign-style stout.

Can at home. Pours super black, looks like motor oil. Looks syrupy. Aroma is black coffee, faint berry, toasted marshmallow and cocoa. Taste is light espresso, faint berry, dark chocolate in the finish. Nice taste. Thick body and mouthfeel. Solid.

Can split with my wife. Pours a deep black with a thin tan head. Big roast on the nose, cocoa, a bit of sweetness and a hint of paper. Big roast, cocoa. Medium bodied, lots of earthy roast and a soft bit of chocolate. Cocoa into the finish, a bit of warming alcohol. Tasty and warm.

On tap, Ginger Man NYC. Very dark black, not a lot of foam. Rich, not hugely bitter in the roasty sense, some spice, warming booze, a certain sweetness. Cocoa. Pretty solid stout.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a black color with a film of light tan foamy head. Quickly dissipated to leave some light lace. The aroma provided some roasty coffee tones, some leather, earthy hops and a little bit of dark chocolate and caramel malt blend. The flavor was roasty at first and then developed more of a light sweetness running through the blend. Light aftertaste of roast to sweet malts. Finish was the malts with a little bit more earthiness. The feel was about medium bodied with a good sipping quality about it. Light carbonation and the ABV felt right. Overall, pretty good imperial stout that I would have again.

Very nice beer. Caramel and musk like Tesla with lots of roast. Black pour with good head and lacing. Some coffee bean. Bittersweet finish. Tall can thanks to Jow.

Pours black and thick with a really tan/brown head that sticks around for quite a while. the aroma is malty, coffee, cocoa, vanilla hits hard. the Flavor is coffee, cocoa, vanilla, heavy body that reminds me of an espresso, small amount of earthiness and grass notes. the body is nice and thick very good for a cold winter day. The overall complexity is good and balanced. would recommend

Tap at RnH East. Opaque black color, medium-sized brownish head. Toasted aroma has chocolate and cocoa. Medium-bodied to full-bodied. Roasted, sweetish vanilla, cocoa and coffee. Smooth. Nice easy but impy with lots of flavours.

Black-and-white body, thin tan head, soapy lacing. Milkduds, light roast and smoke, a tad chalky and ashy in the finish. Medium to full bodied, mellow carbonation, mild sweetness, and a rounded finish.
