Pours a deep amber with full head. Crisp taste, contains lots of caramel and malt, finishing with apple and ginger. Very refreshing, very drinkable, unassuming: a winner! crossovert (13078) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 9, 2011
500ml brown bottle.
It pours a nice amber color with a foamy white head. The head dissipated pretty quickly with a bit of lace.
The smell is like dough and caramel with a hint of alcohol. It is simple, but effective.
The flavor is dough, caramel, and a nice bit of fruitiness with pear and apple being the main flavors. There is a smidge of bitterness over this with mild alcoholic burn.
Overall this is a solid bockbier, not the best, but not the worst.

It’sa beautiful, orange-golden beer with a creamy head, and the aroma has notes of malt and fruit. The flavour is sweet with notes of malt, candy-sugar, fruit, light flower and warming alcohol. The finish is dry. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 21, 2010
50cl bottle, imported by Shelton Bros, date marks are unchecked: Pours a clear deep copper orange with a spotty-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet oxidized caramel malty nose that has some light fruity complexity. Starts with pretty good fullness and a chewy, doughy caramel sweetness with some drier, lightly oxidized cardboard character and a mild light fruitiness before a semi-sweet finish. Could be a little fresher and more balanced.
