Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice creamy head. Starts intense malty, mild roasty, mild dry background. Modest sweet. Finish a bit milder, but not washy. Well balanced malty finish. Nice! ganache (5896) - New Jersey, USA - JUN 7, 2012
Bottle MHD 8.12. Nose of roasted malt, very mildly sweet. Dark ruby but a dark brown-black away from light, has a fizzy, rocky tan head. Sharp smack of acidity up front, roast and strong mocha, faint fruit, sweet but drying. Low bitterness and a medium body leaning to light. Bottle at Spuyten Duyvil - dark amber beer, with a moderate, soapy lace - lightly smoky aroma, with notes of chocolate, char, tobacco - medium-bodied - crisp, almost tart up front, followed by some notes of berries, doughy flavors, light bitterness and roast - very smooth, solid, drinkable - nice schwarz.

On tap @ Ølbaren, Copenhagen - shared with Yngwie and Gunnfryd. Dark brown body, small white foamy head. Nose is wort and dark malts with hints of toffee. Taste is more malty, in the typical "schwartz" kinda way. Body is decently full for the genre, with a moderate amount of carbonation. Decent, but a bit bland and non-descript. Bottle at brewery. Dark brown, almost black with red tint and foamy off-white head. Nice looking brew. clean with asphalt, husk, and dark malt. Quaffable beer with low carbonation. .5 liter bottle at spuyten. Pours a nice deep dark amber-coppery brown with a nice lasting head. Aroma is a sharp toasty almost roasted malt character, nutty and chocolate- very clean sliight yeast, and no diacetyl like the previous beer. Draught @ Akkurat on September 29. Pours reddish black with a white head. Smell is subtle with mostly roasted malts in it. Taste is sweet and malty with a rather stale bitterness.
