Tap @ Akkurat. Pours ruby black with a creamy tanned head. Aroma is smoked roasted malty hoppy. Flavor is acidy fruity bready bitter sweetish. Finishes bitter sweet.

Draught at BBF2013. Dark amber brown with a thin head. Aroma is light toasted malt. Flavour is dark malt, some vanilla and creamy on a sweet malt finish.

Draught at Gallow’s Bird, Espoo. Poured dark brown in color and very thin off-white head. Lightly roasted malts, some berries and forrest like light grassy hoppyness in aroma. Hints of some sweet chocolate also. Flavour is sweet, caramelt malty and some faint hints of fudge. Sweet malty finish, perhaps even some fruitiness in aftertaste.

Dies ist ein milderes Schwarzbier, besitzt dennoch Lakritz und Hopfen Aromen. Von vorne bis hinten ordentlich, lecker und typisch Schwarzbier. Fazit: Mild aber lecker, überdurchschnitt! Test vom 15.3.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,11,10,10,10,10 - 10,15

Draft at Akkurat. semi lasting light grey head. Coca-cola color. Fine malt aroma with some dark roasted aromas but not as much as in a stout or porter. Light caramell sweetness but half dry and crisp taste. Easy to drink and nice pale.

Bottle at Spuyten Duyvil. Vegetal and very malty with a touch of roast in the nose. The pour is mostly black with loose brown highlights and a fair bit of filtering. No bottle conditioning. Sweet, lactose flavor with some sugary malts, cocoa, and a bitter roast finish. Solid.

Tap at Akkurat, Stockholm. Pours dark brown with a small white head. Smells barry and soy. Tastes barry, malty and abit stale with a similar finish.

Vom Faß in der altertümlichen Brauereigaststätte. - Tiefes Kastanienbraun mit rotgoldenem Schimmer. - In der Nase warmes dunkles Malz, Karamel, zart säuerliche Noten. - Antrunk schön dunkelmalzig mit feiner Kaffee-Röstnote und etwas deutlicher fruchtiger Säure (Johannisbeere). Schwache Anklänge an Cola. Schlank aber nicht dünn, angenehm mineralisches Mundgefühl. Im Abgang zurückhaltende aber nicht zu milde, aromatisch krautige Hopfenherbe. - Eher ein Dunkles als ein Schwarzbier, mit aromatischem Malz und schöner zarter Fruchtigkeit.
