The beer looks amazing, like every stout. I love stout. The colour of the beer is pitch black on the naked eye, in some light it looks dark brown. Strong light shows a lovely ruby red color. On top of the beer a nice layer of soft, creamy brown foam is poured. The looks are quite perfect for a stout. I guess its gonna be good. The smell of the beer is good. It is a little bit mild though. I wished it would be a tiny bit stronger. I mainly smell malts. There are some toasty malt aromas, some roasts and a nice touch of liquorice. There arent clear hop aromas. The taste of the beer is better. It is a stronger than the smell, and more flavourful. There are amazing flavors of roasted barley. There is a nice touch of chocolate, some coffee and a nice savoury toast touch. It is good and well balanced. There is a tiny fresh hop taste. It is a good stout. The palate of the beer is good. There is a nice medium body, smooth and slightly creamy texture and a medium carbonation, which is quite high compared to most stouts. The finish is nice and quite long, and contains some nice bitters and roast flavours. Lovely stout.

Blueshawk (465) - Bad Bellingen, GERMANY - DEC 19, 2016

Bottle sample at a tasting at Maxs place. Thanks zvikar. Black with a tan head. Nice roasty aroma with chocolate, a bit of coffee. Bittersweetish flavor, roasty, with coffee, a bit of chocolate, and a bit of yeast. Medium-bodied. A bit too light.

Thanks Mladen! Very dark ruby, blackish body, tiny, almost non-existent head. Fresh raisiny aroma, slightly herbal and papery. Lean taste, raisins, very light cofee, light caramell and bitterness in the finish, very light roastiness. Not great, but a solid beer.
