(Gusswerk Horny Betty) Bottle 330 ml from a trade with Beerhunter111,thanks! Served into a tulip, ABV 9.2% Deep red to chestnut brown colour on the body, clear, with almost two full fingers of thick, light beige head on top. Average retention. Aroma of caramel, light toffee, herbs, old wood. Taste is herbal, malts, caramel, well hidden alcohol. Medium thin body, carbonation on the low side. Drinks okay, nothing I’ll remember for long though.

A dark amber beer with a fruity flavour at first. Some peach and banana in the palate. Light alcoholic sweetness in the finight. I miss some more bitterness or presence of hops. Still enjoyable.

F: beige, average lasting. C: opaque, hazy, brown. A: herbal with some like bacon, sugary, yeasty. T: smooth, oily mouthfeel, like woody tones with some pudding, cinnamon, honey, dusty like, spicy, some dry herbal bitterness on the palate, not my cup of tea but interesting and worth to try.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ruby to brown colored, clear, medium beige creamy head. Aroma is malty, bit of caramel, more toasty some dried fruits and green apples. Taste is medium sweet toffee, burnt sugar, nutty, dried fruits, again green apples, some low+ herbal bitterness. Alcohol is hidden well enough. Medium bodied and carbonation. (bottle, Beer Store Vienna, A)

Flasch’n: Deep ruby-amber coloured, floaties visible, small and persistent off-white head; relatively dry nose of dried fruits and caramel and some unknown spices; moderate to solid -relatively- bitter flavour with a delicate sweetness, pretty light bodied for a beer of 9.2%; lingering vinous and caramelly finish. O.K., surely nothing special…

Smells hoppy and fruity. Nice amber colour, horny betty gives a little head though . Carbonation is medium/high. Has a bit of a triple taste, sweet with a bitter aftertaste, some hops, but not too dominant
