50 cl bottle, 5.2%. Classic weizen appearance, cloudy orange colour with a massive head and lots of sediment in the bottle. Aroma is mildly fruity, classic weizen, softly citrusy with lots of yeast. Taste is nicely balanced with soft grasy hops. Medium to full bodied, proper carbonation, nice spicy finish. Reminds me of Weihenstephaner, very close to that one, and very neat. Nice hefeweizen, very good one.

Bottle, Drinks of the World Cornavin. Light yellowish colour, hazy, huge white head with tiny bubbles. Quite insistent carbonation. Lighter end of the wheat beer spectrum, mild, some hint of apple pear ester, very low bitterness, smooth grain. Well made, easy to drink, maybe not the most characterful wheat beer out there.

19-12-16 // 500ml bottle at home. Pours a nice cloudy dark orange beer with a solid foamy head. Nose of banana and yeast. Taste is banana, light fruity, good yeast some clove. Well balanced. Smooth and light creamy Hefeweizen. Good.

Bottle from Getrnke Hoffmann - slightly over MHD (damn you Getrnke Hoffmann!) - hazy milky yellow color with nice creamy head. Taste is malts, some citrus, banana (low) and minerals. Medium to low sweet. Body is medium. Carbo is medium to high. Well balanced Hefe that differs from the usual sweet and banana types in a good way.

Strong carbonation, foam is not so high, but long-lasting. The color is a bit paly. Smell is pretty expressive, but simle: yeast, bread, grasy. Taste is wheat, honey, leaves. Aftertaste - banana, yeast, citrus, a bit bitter (just a bit). Very pleasant beer.

500ml bottle from Hopfen & Malz, Aachen. Pours typical hazy gold with a confident white head. Soft hefe aromatics. Taste is lightly smooth hefe yeast with soft citrus and a brisk bitterness. Quite light compared to other hefeweizens but its nice enough.

0.5L bottle BB 23 Dec 16 from Getrnke Oase in Munich. Cloudy golden colour with big rocky persistent white head that leaves nice lacing. Lots of clove in the aroma, fresh crusty bread, some banana. The banana is much more prominent in the flavour, with lots of bready malt, clove definitely there, and a light refreshing tang. Medium bodied, very creamy and substantial. Really enjoyable hefe, probably enhanced by getting it so close to the source.
