Pours a massiv, dense, creamy head with a lovely, hazy peach color.
The aromas yield spiced banana big times, along with cinnamon and clove, as well as bready malts. Banana is rich on the nose, together with marzipan and bread, all flavors chime in with the fruit.
Drinks enormously smooth, with bready soft malts and a silky yeastiness, providing the most complex, well integrated banana flavor I have yet experienced in a beer. Not only comes the banana incredibly smooth to the palate, due to the soft yeast pillow, it also got a fantastic complexity to it, provided by honey and cloves. Even in the finish, the fruit is still recognizable, acvompanied by a mellow grain flavor, blending outstandingly well into the beers malt foundation. Has a perfectly fitting carbonation, not too high, leaving enough space for the more fragile flavors to shine through, with a light, versatile body, very refreshing. Bottle @ home. Hazy a bit pale yellow color, huge quite dense, creamy, long lasting white head that leaves good lacing. Smell and taste wheat, only slightly yeasty, no artificial banana in this -at least not a lot- which instantly makes it quite nice. Very well balanced with a slight touch of citrus in the distance, slightly sweet in the background and a slight bitterness in there as well. Nice! Very good Hefeweizen imo. I like it! gunnar (9697) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAR 20, 2011
Bottle in Rome. Pours hazy yellow/orange with a huge white head. Aroma of yeast, wheat, cloves and banana. Taste is fresh yeast, some good lemons with that touch of coriander and banana. Very well balanced, a nice thirst quencher, and refreshing beer.

Banana & citrus with some orange peel and coriander thrown in initially.Very lively on the nose with some yeast coming through along with some spice and cloves. There is some wheat, a touch of bubblegum and a little bit of bread.
Light body before settling slightly darker as a medium, golden amber colour with a cloudy body and a large, two-fingers sized head that is very thick looking and stays well as a creamy white colour.
Banana with some spice before quickly being followed by some bubblegum and citrus flavours. There was some clove and orange peel too and a little wheat and yeast to see things out with.
Smooth with a light medium body with strong carbonation and a light, easy to drink feel to the beer. The mouthfeel seemed a little thin and watered down in places but from the most part it came across okay. Fruity and quite sweet & refreshing.
An enjoyable hefeweizen and my first new one in a few months. Not one I knew much about going in but as always Bavaria comes out on top when it comes to hefeweizens. A pretty good offering & well worth a try.
Banana and raisins taste with a delicate sour nute in finish. Full palate. Whitehead, stay longon top. Honey colour, hazy. One of the best hefeweizen for sure. 461er (15) - Heilbronn, GERMANY - OCT 15, 2014
0,5 ltr. Flasche, oja ein sehr gutes Hefeweizen. Fruchtige Aromen, Banane, sehr geschmeidig, fast keine Säure, dezent süß, angenehme Kohlensäure - angenehm trockener, leicht bitterer Abgang. Klare Trinkempfehlung! Marheb (6193) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 26, 2014
A Weizen can be defined by a few good brands. Gutmann is one of those defining brands. A straight forward but deep refined tasting Weissbier, that does not disappoint. A very very good beer. Chopper925 (591) - Gross Gerau, GERMANY - MAY 13, 2016
Bottle. Hazy amber color, fine white head. Fruity, banana and cloves, combined with a decent maltiness. Sweet taste, medium bitter, light sour. Very nice aftertaste, crisp malt character and more banana. Thick, silky mouthfeel, low carbonation.
